Bacteriophage lambda: The path from biology to theranostic agent
This article is categorized under: Biology‐Inspired Nanomaterials> Protein and Virus‐Based Structures Biology‐Inspired Nanomaterials> Nucleic Acid‐Based Structures Multipartite Designer Nanoparticles. The phage lambda decoration protein can be site‐specifically modified with biological and synthetic ligands. The purified constructs are used to decorate phage capsids, packed with protein or polynucleotide cargos, in controllable and defined surface densities to afford designer nanoparticles for a variety of theranostic applications. Nanomaterial exposure, toxicity, and impact on human health
This article is categorized under: Toxicology and Regulatory Issues in Nanomedicine > Toxicology of Nanomaterials The Rosetta Stone ia a stone with writing carved into it. It was found in Egypt in 1799, and was crucial in understanding the meaning of the Ancient Egyptian writing system called hieroglyphics. In fact, it had three pieces of writing on it that said the same thing in three diferent languages. One was in an Ancient Egyptian script called demotic, the other two languages were hieroglyphics and Ancient Greek. The interpretation of the data o experimental studies on the toxicity of engineered nanomaterials a...
