Application of failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) in total laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH) in benign conditions.
CONCLUSIONS: It is our opinion that the systematic implementation of the FMEA model can reduce the risk of human error during laparoscopic surgery, improving patient safety.

Knowledge, attitudes, beliefs and practices of obstetrics-gynecologists on seasonal influenza and pertussis immunizations in pregnant women: preliminary results from North-Western Italy.
CONCLUSIONS: Sampled OBGYN were largely favorable towards vaccination of pregnant women. As knowledge of official recommendations was identified as a main predictor of appropriate behavior at least for Tdap practice, future educational interventions could eventually improve immunization rates.

Three-dimensional printing models on reproductive surgery and human reproduction: systematic review and critical applications.
CONCLUSIONS: 3D models for human reproduction are feasible. They might improve assisted reproductive techniques, help in pre-surgical planning for reproductive surgeries, and provide accurate measures of ovarian reserve. Besides, we see future applications in endometrioma research and in the fabrication of devices, such as embryo transfer catheter and a 3D printed embryo.

Combination of weekly topotecan and gemcitabine as a salvage treatment in patients with recurrent ovarian cancer: a phase I study.
CONCLUSIONS: The weekly administration of gemcitabine/topotecan regimen in patients with pretreated metastatic ovarian cancer is an active chemotherapy combination, even in heavily pretreated patients, with a manageable toxicity profile which merits further investigation.

Histological evaluation of the prevalence of adenomyosis, myomas and of their concomitance.
CONCLUSIONS: In symptomatic women, adenomyosis and leiomyomas are frequent and coexist in 30% of cases. Coexistence of the two pathologies should be considered in women suffering of heavy menstrual bleeding and menstrual pain.
