Efficacy of physical examination-indicated cerclage in twin pregnancies compared with singleton pregnancies: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
CONCLUSIONS: Our meta-analysis indicated that PEIC achieved good perinatal prognosis in both singleton and twin pregnancies. However, because the available evidence is insufficient to attain a strong conclusion, so further high-quality trials are needed to confirm our findings. Diagnostic value of sonographic fetal anthropometries and anthropometric formulas to identify macrosomia: a meta-analysis.
CONCLUSIONS: Abdominal circumference and varying anthropometric formulas are not highly useful for identification of macrosomia. However, Hadlock IV (1985) formula may be useful for secondary screening of macrosomia. PMID: 32315129 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher] (Source: Minerva Ginecologica)

Anti-M üllerian hormone and embryo quality as determined by time-lapse imaging.
CONCLUSIONS: Serum AMH is not predictive of embryo quality as assessed by TLI standardized time intervals, composite score, and presence of MN. From a clinical perspective, these findings suggest that diminished ovarian reserve alone does not imply poorer quality of individual embryos. A review of the use of hormonal contraception in women with cardiovascular disease complications and risk factors. A systematic review.
CONCLUSIONS: The development of lower dose contraceptive pills as well as the increased incidence of comorbid conditions, such as metabolic syndrome, in younger women seeking contraception has brought along new research and new evidence to guide clinicians in the prescription of these medications. A review of the use of hormonal contraception in women with non-cardiovascular coexisting medical conditions. A comprehensive review.
CONCLUSIONS: Although some recommendations have remained unchanged over the years, the development of lower dose contraceptive pills as well as the increased incidence of comorbid conditions, such as metabolic syndrome, in younger women seeking contraception has brought along new research and new evidence to guide clinicians in the prescription of these medications. HPV genotype distribution and age correlation in a selected Italian population undergoing conization.
CONCLUSIONS: Our results suggest that some physiological conditions (i.e. menopause), could influence selection and clearance of specific HPV genotypes. The results of this study represent the basis for supporting the HPV genotyping as clinical tool providing benefits in the management of women with high CIN grade. Outpatient vaginal surgery for pelvic organ prolapse: a prospective feasibility study.
CONCLUSIONS: Outpatient anterior vaginal mesh surgery for prolapse is safe and effective. The current medical-economic context favors ambulatory management. Patient selection, prior information and continuity of care seem primordial. PMID: 32153159 [PubMed - in process] (Source: Minerva Ginecologica)

Myasthaenia gravis in pregnancy, delivery and newborn.
CONCLUSIONS: Most of the myasthenic women could have uneventful pregnancy with good obstetrical outcomes, both for mother and neonate. However, a careful planning of pregnancy and multidisciplinary team approach, composed by neurologists, obstetricians, neonatologists and anesthesiologists, is required to manage these pregnancies. Treatment algorithm for women with endometriosis in a certified Endometriosis Unit.
CONCLUSIONS: The treatment of endometriosis should be multiprofessional, standardized and reproducible during specialized consultations at certified centers. So far, there are few publications on a standardized and clinically proven treatment algorithm for women with suspected endometriosis. The presented treatment algorithm could be helpful in the diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis patients, even at other centers. PMID: 32153163 [PubMed - in process] (Source: Minerva Ginecologica)

The impact of primary Sjogren's syndrome on female sexual function.
