Leprosy simulating systemic sclerosis: a case report
We report a case of leprosy with skin thickening, distal phalanx resorption and facial telangiectasia, simulating systemic sclerosis. Due to a considerable prevalence in Brazil, and also considering the deformities that can be caused by a delay in diagnosis and treatment, leprosy should be put forward by the rheumatologist as a diagnostic hypothesis in patients with musculoskeletal involvement. Correlation between cellular expression of complement regulatory proteins with depletion and repopulation of B-lymphocytes in peripheral blood of patients with rheumatoid arthritis treated with rituximab
Conclusion The increased CD46 expression was predictive of a faster repopulation of B-lymphocytes in patients treated with RTX. Omega-3 fatty acids, inflammatory status and biochemical markers of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus: a pilot study
Conclusions Supplementation with omega-3 had no impact on serum concentrations of IL-6, IL-10, leptin and adiponectin in women with SLE and low disease activity.
