Treatment of latent tuberculosis in patients with juvenile rheumatic diseases: a systematic review
Conclusions: Only one case of LTBI activation was observed; there was good treatment adherence and absence of complications during follow-up. More studies are necessary to evaluate the response to the other available therapeutic regimens, with better tolerability assessment and a larger sample. However, the results showed that INH therapy for 9 months and INH therapy plus rifampicin for 3 months had a low rate of LTBI activation and complications.RESUMO Introdu ção: Crianças e adolescentes com doenças reumáticas em terapia anti-TNF- α s ão grupo de risco para ativação da infecção latente por Mycobacterium tube...

Association between demyelinating disease and autoimmune rheumatic disease in a pediatric population
Conclusion: Among patients with demyelinating diseases diagnosed in childhood included in this study there was a high frequency of antinuclear antibody positivity but a lower association with rheumatologic autoimmune diseases than that observed in studies conducted in adults.RESUMO Introdu ção: Esclerose múltipla (EM) e neuromielite óptica (NMO) são doenças desmielinizantes do sistema nervoso central. A autoimunidade entre pacientes com doenças desmielinizantes e seus parentes tem sido amplamente investigada e discutida. Independence of carbohydrate-deficient isoforms of transferrin and cyclic citrullinated peptides in rheumatoid arthritis
Conclusions: These results suggest that the changes in CDT and anti-CCP concentrations are not associated with oneself and indicate on the independence of these posttranslational modifications in rheumatoid arthritis. Only the alterations in transferrin glycosylation reflected the activity of RA.RESUMO Objetivo: Avaliar a rela ção entre os dois tipos de modificações pós-translacionais de proteínas na AR: glicosilação no caso da transferrina deficiente em carboidrato (TDC) e citrulinação por meio dos anticorpos no caso do antipeptídeo citrulinado cíclico (anti-CCP). Métodos: O estudo foi feito em 50 pacientes...
