Oral features in patients with psoriasis: an observational study.
CONCLUSIONS: Some oral mucosal lesions, such as geographic and fissured tongue, are strongly associated with psoriasis. Although these lesions are non-pathognomonic to psoriasis, their precise relationship needs to be clarified and further investigated. Facial attractiveness of skeletal class I and class II malocclusion as perceived by laypeople, patients and clinicians.
CONCLUSIONS: Convex facial profiles are less attractive than Class I profiles. The assessment of facial attractiveness is dependent on the assessor's education and background. Laypeople and patients are considerably less sensitive to abnormal sagittal jaw relationships than orthodontists. PMID: 29308854 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher] (Source: Minerva Stomatologica)

Prevalence of dental caries among schoolchildren from North-Eastern Italian population.
CONCLUSIONS: Within the limits of the present study, the WHO goals are still not met, among the population in exam. Our results show a trend of decay diminution that enhances in the cohort of 10-aged children suggesting the importance of dental education. Furthermore, the lack of paediatric initiatives of oral hygiene may be overcome by a national intensive educational program, supported by further scientific evidence. Adjunctive use of an Ethyl Lauroyl Arginate (LAE)-containing mouthwash in the nonsurgical therapy of periodontitis: a randomized clinical trial.
CONCLUSIONS: 0.147% LAE-containing mouthwash could be an alternative to the use of 0.12% CHX in the non surgical therapy of periodontitis considering the similar clinical effects, more stable microbiological improvement and absence of adverse effects. Comparative evaluation of the efficacy of lignocaine containing topical anesthetic agents during extraction of deciduous anterior teeth.
Authors: Sarpangala M, Devasya A, George AL Abstract To evaluate the efficacy of 2%, 4% Lignocaine, EMLA mixture and Precaine topical anaesthetic agents (with 1:1, 00,000 epinephrine) during the extraction of deciduous anterior tooth. Eighty patients with pre-shedding mobility of deciduous anterior tooth were divided randomly into four groups. Lignocaine, in amount of 2% and 4%, Precaine and EMLA topical anaesthetic agents were applied and the tooth was extracted. VAS has been used to assess the subjective pain while Wong-Baker faces scale and SEM pain scale have been used to record the objective pain to c...
