Publication date: Available online 26 September 2016 Source:Journal of Taibah University for Science Author(s): S. Omidi, B. Davvaz In the present paper, we introduce the notion of k-hyperideals on ordered semihyperrings. Then, we investigate some fundamental properties of k-hyperideals of ordered semihyperrings. Indeed, we define (m, n)-hyperideals and (m, n)-bi-hyperideals in ordered semihyperrings and investigate some of their related properties. Variations in the cytotoxic glycoalkaloids solamargine and solasonine in different parts of the Solanum incanum plant during its growth and development in Oman
Publication date: November 2016 Source:Journal of Taibah University for Science, Volume 10, Issue 6 Author(s): Sana S. Al Sinani, Elsadig A. Eltayeb, Y.T. Kamal, Masood S. Khan, Sayeed Ahmad In addition to several important traditional medicine applications of Solanum incanum, the plant is a rich source of important cytotoxic glycoalkaloids, such as solamargine and solasonine. Because S. incanum is a potential source of compounds for steroid synthesis, it is worthwhile to study the content of these important glycoalkaloids during plant developmental stages. Therefore, an attempt has been made to quantitatively estim...

Genotoxic Studies of Some Plant Oil Extracts on Rhyzopertha dominica (Coleoptera: Bostrichidae)
This study was carried out to clarify the genotoxic effects of different concentrations of plant oils of Eruca sativa (Brassicaceae), Zingiber officinale (Zingiberaceae) and Origanum majorana (Lamiaceae) against the conventional organophosphate insecticide (Chlorpyrifos) as synthetic insecticide against Rhyzopertha dominica Fabricius. The R. dominica population was reared for several generations without exposure to any insecticide. Wheat grains were sterilized at a temperature of 55°C for 6hours in order to eliminate any hidden infestation then treated with serial dilutions of Chlorpyrifos and plant oil extracts and given...

Effect of size and shape on specific heat, melting entropy and enthalpy of nanomaterials
Publication date: Available online 11 October 2016 Source:Journal of Taibah University for Science Author(s): Madan Singh, Sekhants’o Lara, Spirit Tlali A simple theory is proposed to study the size and shape dependent Specific heat, melting entropy and enthalpy of nanomaterials. It is shown that the particle size and shape affect the Specific heat, melting entropy and enthalpy of nanomaterials. The model is applied to Ag, Cu, In, Se, Au and Al nanomaterials in spherical, nanowire and nanofilms shapes. It is found that the specific heat increases with the decrease in particle size. Whereas, melting entropy and entha...
