Effects of 2 years endurance training targeted at the level of maximal lipid oxidation on body composition
ConclusionThe weight loss effectiveness of endurance training targeted at the LIPOXmax is maintained for 24 months. This weight loss affects both trunk and appendicular fat mass but also lean mass. It associated with a decrease in blood pressure and an improvement in the ability to oxidize lipids during exercise.RésuméIntroductionLe grand problème de l’obésité est la reprise pondérale qui peut s’observer après toutes les thérapeutiques actuellement utilisées.

Hemoglobin, hematocrit and plasma volume variations following combined sprint and strength: Effect of advanced age
ConclusionCSRT increases RBC count and Hb in middle-aged men, and ameliorates the effect of age in Hct. Such adaptations may improve cardiovascular fitness of middle-aged individuals, and may be preventative of subsequent declines with age.RésuméObjectifsLa présente étude a examiné l’effet d’un entraînement combiné de sprint et de renforcement musculaire (13 semaines) sur le nombre de globules rouges (RBC), l’hémoglobine (Hb), l’hématocrite (Hct), la variation du volume plasmatique (PV) au repos et en réponse au test de Wingate.Équipement et méthodesVingt-huit adultes masculins modérément entraînée...

Effects of eccentric exercise on the quadriceps architecture
ConclusionThe FL, MT and PA showed a significant decrease after the detraining period. The results provide evidence that an eccentric training programme based on the RNHE may lead to changes in the VL and VM muscle architecture features, which are reversible after a four-week detraining period.RésuméObjectifsDéterminer les adaptations de l’architecture musculaire de la vastus lateralis (VL) et vastus medialis (VM) après un programme d’entraînement excentrique basé sur le jarret nordique inversé (JNI) et après une période de formation ultérieure.MéthodesLes participants (n = 28) ont subi une interve...

The influence of different caffeine doses on visual and audial reaction time with different delay from its consumption
ConclusionBased on these results, it is possible to conclude that increasing amounts of caffeine can cause a decrease in visual and audial reaction times. These results may be useful in everyday human activities (extensive time driving a car) as well as being useful to sports coaches in preparation for sports where both audial and visual reaction times play an important role in overall sport performance (swimming, athletics, combat sports).RésuméObjectifLe but de cette étude est d’évaluer les différences dans les temps de réaction visuels et auditifs après la consommation de différentes doses de caféine.Méthode...

Muscular adaptations to periodized resistance-training in older adults
Publication date: Available online 3 January 2020Source: Science & SportsAuthor(s): Z. Murlasits, J. ReedSummaryObjectivesDue to skeletal muscle wasting (sarcopenia) older adults rely on a larger proportion of their remaining skeletal muscle to generate force and power for everyday activities. As a consequence, premature fatigue and a cycle of further inactivity and disability ensue. Thus, different fitness components, such as muscular strength and endurance may need to be targeted to counteract functional decline. Although, resistance training periodization has been shown to result in superior muscle strength adaptations ...

Effect of during of tapering on anaerobic power and capacity in road cyclists
ConclusionIt was concluded that 2 weeks of tapering was enough to improve the anaerobic power and capacity in road cyclists.RésuméLa réduction linéaire de la charge d’entraînement peut être déterminante pour la performance sportive.

Effects over 12 weeks of different types and durations of exercise intervention on body composition of young women with obesity
ConclusionsThis study shows that 12 weeks of exercise training (3 × 45 min/wk) are an efficient weight-reducing procedure, either with FATmax AT, HIIT or RT. Not surprisingly, the heavier protocol (45 min HIIT) induces a slightly greater reduction in BF% and increases FFM, while RT is most helpful in the increase of MM. Therefore, HIIT can be selected for people who can endure high-intensity exercise and are in urgent need of fat loss. However, since the three protocols are not matched for energy expenditure, no general conclusion about the superiority of one protocol over another can be given. A furth...

Effect of high-intensity interval training on clinical and laboratory parameters of adolescents with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder

Physical fitness modulates mucosal immunity and acceleration capacity during a short-term training period in elite youth basketball players
This study aimed to investigate the effect of physical fitness level (Yo-Yo intermittent recovery test level 1 [Yo-Yo IR 1]) and initial stress level (salivary cortisol [SC]) on salivary immunoglobulin A secretion rate (SIgArate), and the influence of physical fitness on accelerations (external training load; eTL) and training impulse (TRIMP; internal training load; iTL), in 20 elite youth male basketball players (14.5 ± 0.5 years; height, 177 ± 10 cm; body mass, 69 ± 13 kg) following a short-term training stress (two daily consecutive basketball-training sessions). Saliva samples...

Examination of exercise load for recovering decreased muscle strength caused by static stretching
ConclusionsThis finding suggested that muscle strength was recovered by high-load task.

Is creatine hydrochloride better than creatine monohydrate for the improvement of physical performance and hormonal changes in young trained men?
ConclusionAccording to the results, the multi-day period of supplementation with CHCL in comparison to CRM cannot have much effect on performance and improve the hormonal status of individuals in the short term.RésuméObjectifLa production et la vente de compléments alimentaires sont une industrie en plein essor.
