Novel Application of Aptamer Proteomic Analysis in Cystic Fibrosis Bronchoalveolar Lavage Fluid
Conclusions and clinical relevance: Proteomic analysis of the CF airway demonstrates a complex environment of proteins and pathways. This work provides evidence that aptamer ‐based proteomics can differentiate between groups and can determine endotypes within CF.This article is protected by copyright. On ‐Tissue Hydrogel‐Mediated Nondestructive Proteomic Characterization: Application to fr/fr and FFPE Tissues and Insights for Quantitative Proteomics Using a Case of Cardiac Myxoma
ConclusionThe methodology successfully detects numerous protein signals from FFPE and frozen specimens and is able to differentiate between tissue regions. A fast and reliable tissue preparation for quantitative protein analysis by minimum sample manipulation is developed. This offers an option for on ‐tissue proteomics analysis while preserving the inherent spatial information on the tissue. (Source: Proteomics. Clinical Applications)

Quantification of calcyclin and heat shock protein 90 in sera from women with and without preeclampsia by mass spectrometry
Conclusion and clinical relevanceBoth interacting proteins calcyclin and heat shock protein 90 were notably changed in preeclamptic patients compared to controls. Calcyclin was already decreased before the onset of preeclampsia in the second trimester and HSP90 was strongly increased in the third trimester. This suggests that these proteins may play a role in the pathogenesis of preeclampsia and ought to be investigated in large cohort studies as molecular biomarkers. This article is protected by copyright. Identification of proteomic markers in head and neck cancer using MALDI ‐MS Imaging, LC‐MS/MS and Immunohistochemistry
Conclusions and Clinical RelevanceThe combination of MALDI MSI, LC ‐MS/MS and subsequent IHC furnishes a tool suitable for characterizing the molecular heterogeneity of tissue. It is also suited for use in identifying new representative biomarkers to enable a more individualized therapy. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved (Source: Proteomics. Screening and Identification of Pregnancy Zone Protein (PZP) and Leucine ‐Rich Alpha‐2‐Glycoprotein (LRG) as Potential Serum Biomarkers for Early‐onset Myocardial Infarction using Protein Profile Analysis
Conclusions and clinical relevance: We identified five differential serum proteins in early ‐onset MI using proteomic analysis. Lipoprotein‐related biomarkers further demonstrate the close relationship between lipid metabolism and the disease. Inflammation‐associated LRG and PZP may be novel biomarkers of the disease. In addition, changes in these proteins may partly reveal the possi ble mechanisms in the pathogenesis and pathophysiology of early‐onset MI.This article is protected by copyright.
