Accurate Determination of Lithium Isotopic Compositions in Geological Samples by Multi-collector Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry
This study established a simple and efficient method for the separation of Li from different types of geological samples (water and rock) and an accurate measurement of Li isotopic compositions. The external precision (2σ) of this technique, determined by repeated measurement of pure Li standard solutions and seawater was < ±0.8‰. Experimental results showed significant Li isotopic fractionation during leaching process, and this deviation can be avoided by recovering Li completely. Titanium Dioxide-Yttrium(III)-Oxide Composite Based Cataluminescence Gas Sensor for Fast Detection of Propylene Oxide
Publication date: February 2019Source: Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry, Volume 47, Issue 2Author(s): Ming LI, Jing-Ye CHEN, Yu-Fei HU, Gong-Ke LIAbstractBy using nano TiO2-Y2O3 as catalyst, cataluminescence (CTL) phenomenon of propylene oxide (PO) was studied, and it was found that the sensor has high sensitivity and good selectivity for the detection of propylene oxide. The common volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as acetone, acetaldehyde and benzene show no response to the catalysis of TiO2-Y2O3. Based on this phenomenon, a propylene oxide CTL sensor was designed. The ratio of TiO2 and Y2O3 and the annealed ...

Study of Electrooxidation Behavior of Nitrite on Gold Nanoparticles/Graphitizing Carbon Felt Electrode and Its Analytical Application
Publication date: February 2019Source: Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry, Volume 47, Issue 2Author(s): Wei WEI, Shou-Guo WUAbstractIn this work, a gold nanoparticles/graphitizing carbon felt electrode (AuNPs/GCFE) was fabricated and a disposable sensor was thus fabricated to detect nitrite quickly and conveniently. The kinetic parameters of the electrode were studied in phosphate buffer solution (PBS). Under the optimal conditions, by using cyclic voltammetry, the oxidation peak current was linear with the concentration of nitrite in the range from 1.00 × 10−6 M to 3.35 × 10−3 M, with a detection limit of 9.50 ...

Progress of Sonic-Spray Ionization Mass Spectrometry and Its Applications
Publication date: January 2019Source: Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry, Volume 47, Issue 1Author(s): Yue-Guang LYU, Hua BAI, Wen-Tao LI, Jing-Kui YANG, Yu-Jian HE, Qiang MAAbstractSonic-spray ionization (SSI) is a previously developed soft ionization technique which does not need auxiliary methods such as voltage, heating, laser, or corona discharge. Spray ionization can be achieved under normal temperature and atmospheric pressure by inputting high-speed gas coaxial within the capillary. As an atmospheric pressure ion source, this technique was widely used as the interface of liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry...

Detection of S-palmitoylated Proteins in Mouse Heart Tissue Based on Different Precipitation Methods
In this study, the effects of acetone precipitation and methanol-chloroform precipitation on the detection of S-palmitoylation proteins in acyl-biotin exchange method were compared, and the S-palmitoylated proteins in mouse cardiac tissue were analyzed. First, N-ethylmaleimide (NEM) was used to block free sulfhydryls within protein molecules. Then, biotinylation reagent (HPDP-Biotin) was used to label the newly produced cysteine thiols that were resulted from treatment by hydroxylamine (HA) in mouse heart tissue. During the ABE reaction, excess unreacted NEM, HA and HPDP-Biotin were removed by precipitation of the proteins...

Neurotransmitter Biomolecule Transfers Across Liquid/Liquid Interface Through A Thick Organic Membrane-Modified Electrode
We report a study of two neurotransmitter transfers, dopamine and adrenalone across the liquid/liquid interface supported by a thick organic membrane modified electrode. This system overcomes the limitation of polarized potential window based on an electron transfer coupled ion transfer reaction mechanism. The crucial design of a thick organic membrane ensures that the generated ionic ET products could not result in self-transfer interruption. (Source: Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry)
