Wilson ’s disease: Atypical Imaging features
We report a 17-year-old boy who presented with sialorrhea, hypophonic speech, paraparesis with repeated falls and recurrent seizures along with cognitive decline. He had bilateral Kayser Flescher rings. Ot her than the typical features of Wilson’s disease in cranial MRI, there were extensive white matter signal abnormalities (T2 and FLAIR hyperintensities) and gyriform contrast enhancement which are rare imaging features in Wilson ' s disease. A high index of suspicion is required to diagnose Wilson ’s disease when atypical imaging features are present. (Source: Australasian Medical Journal - AMJ)

Reversible dementia: The Imitation Game
We report a patient with subacute onset and progressive cognitive decline, extrapyramidal involvement and myoclonic jerks who was initially suspected as probable autoimmune encephalitis or Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD). Investigations revealed positive serum and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) Venereal Disease Research Laboratory test (VDRL). On treatment with penicillin, he developed Jarisch-Herxheimer reaction and was treated symptomatically. After two weeks of penicillin, he improved significantly and except for mild short term memory recall, he is asymptomatic for last two years. (Source: Australasian Medical Journal - AMJ)

The issue of fine needle aspiration cytology in the diagnosis of tuberculous cervical lymphadenitis
Conclusion In this study, sensitivity of FNAC was reported to be low. The sensitivity of this method was 7.46 per cent (including pathology granuloma with background necrosis) and 19.40 per cent (total cases of granuloma with or without necrosis). It seems that the sensitivity of FNAC is significantly lower in patients with early cervical tuberculosis (TB) lymphadenitis. Combining acid-fast bacillus (AFB) staining and non-culture methods like polymerase chain reaction (PCR) could increase FNA sensitivity in these patients. (Source: Australasian Medical Journal - AMJ)

Efficacy of the Flinders chronic condition management program in obese patients with hip or knee osteoarthritis
Conclusion This study is designed to provide robust and transparent findings including randomisation sequence generation, allocation concealment and implementation and will therefore provide much needed quality evidence in the field of self-management and osteoarthritis.1 The Flinders Program has not been used in this type of patient cohort before and since it has been proven a successful self-management tool for other chronic conditions in Australian communities, the results of this study will add valuable knowledge to the chronic condition management. Speciation and susceptibility testing of Candida isolates from vaginal discharge
Conclusion Though C. albicans was the commonest species, more than 50 per cent of isolates were non-albicans Candida. Therefore identification of species is important f or appropriate anti-fungal therapy. Speciation also helps to prevent treatment failure and dissemination of drug resistance.
