Neurobiological features of fibromyalgia are also present among rheumatoid arthritis patients
ConclusionsRA patients who have increased levels of FMness appear to share neurobiological features consistently observed in FM patients. This study is the first to provide neuroimaging evidence that RA is a mixed pain state, with many patients’ symptoms being related to CNS rather than classic inflammatory mechanisms. This article is protected by copyright. Augmented Th17 Differentiation Leads to Cutaneous and Synovio ‐Entheseal Inflammation in a Novel Model of Psoriatic Arthritis
ConclusionPerturbation of the IL‐23/Th17 axis instigates Th17‐mediated inflammation in R26STAT3Cstopfl/fl CD4Cre mice, leading to cutaneous and synovio‐entheseal inflammation, and bone pathology highly reminiscent of psoriatic arthritis. Both IL‐17A and IL‐22 produced by Th17 cells play critical roles in promoting the cutaneous and musculoskeletal inflammation that characterizes psoriatic arthritis..This article is protected by copyright. Frequency and anatomical distribution of magnetic resonance imaging features in sacroiliac joints of young athletes: Exploring “background noise” towards a data‐driven definition of sacroiliitis in early spondyloarthritis
ConclusionIn recreational and elite athletes, BME showed on average in 3‐4 SIJ quadrants, meeting the ASAS definition in 30%‐41%. The posterior lower ilium was the single most affected SIJ region. These findings in athletes help refine data‐driven thresholds for defining sacroiliitis in early SpA.This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved. (Source: Arthritis and Rheumatism)

The genetic profile of RF ‐positive polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) resembles adult rheumatoid arthritis (RA)
ConclusionsRF‐positive polyarticular JIA is genetically more similar to adult RA than to the most common JIA categories and thus appears to be a childhood‐onset presentation of autoantibody positive RA. These findings suggest common disease mechanisms, which could lead to novel therapeutic targets and shared treatment strategies. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved. Brief Report: Validation of a Definition of Flare in Patients With Established Gout
ConclusionThe definition of gout flare that requires fulfillment of at least 3 of 4 patient‐reported criteria is now validated to be sensitive, specific, and accurate for gout flares, as demonstrated using an independent large international patient sample. The availability of a validated gout flare definition will improve the ascertainment of an important clinical outcome in studies of gout. (Source: Arthritis and Rheumatism)

Brief Report: Cancer Immunotherapy in Patients With Preexisting Rheumatic Disease: The Mayo Clinic Experience
ConclusionTo our knowledge, this represents the largest single‐center cohort of patients with rheumatic diseases who were exposed to modern cancer immunotherapy. Only a minority of these patients experienced a flare of their preexisting rheumatic disease or any other IRAE. (Source: Arthritis and Rheumatism)
