The Institute for Safe Medication Practices has new, free tools that can help community pharmacies and outpatient settings reduce prescribing and dispensing errors. WISER for Windows 4.5 Now Available

PMC Releases New ID Converter
PMC has just released an upgrade to the ID converter, now dubbed the PMCID – PMID -Manuscript ID – DOI Converter (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/pmctopmid/). This utility allows you to start with the unique identifier for an article that is in PMC, and find additional unique identifiers that may apply to the article. Improvements include support for DOIs, auto-detection of the ID type based on its format, and enhanced output. NLM Activates Emergency Access Resources
Forwarded from NLM: The National Library of Medicine (NLM) has activated the Emergency Access Initiative (EAI) in support of medical efforts in the Philippines and surrounding areas following the devastating typhoon.  The Emergency Access Initiative  provides  free access to full-text articles from over 650 biomedical serial titles and over 4,000 reference books and online databases to healthcare professionals and libraries affected by disasters. DOCLINE: Users to Submit Out of Office Requests for the Holidays and Vacations
