Annual Report: How MCR Staff Spent Our 2013-2014 Year
I’m sure you’ve heard us recommend writing an annual report to show your value. We practice what we preach and do one every year for the National Library of Medicine our funding agency. We also do it for you our constituency. You can read our annual report for 2013-2014 on our web site. Our highlights from last year were:

NLM Receives HHSinnovates Award
From the National Library of Medicine.
The National Library of Medicine’s National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) in partnership received the HHSinnovates Award on July 21, 2014. Along with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), and state public health laboratories, the NCBI was recognized for using whole genome sequencing to reduce the time and improve the accuracy of detecting foodborne pathogens. Funding Announcement: K-12 School Partnership
Call for Applications (CFAs):
The National Network of Libraries of Medicine, MidContinental Region (NN/LM MCR), under contract with the National Library of Medicine, announces the availability of K-12 School Partnership funding. The MCR plans to fund four awards up to $1,500 in Option Year 3 (May 2014-April 2015):
