Isolated small bowel perforation due to blunt trauma to inguinal hernia: Report of a case and review of the literature
Conclusions Although intestinal perforation caused by trauma to the inguinal region in patients with inguinal hernias is rare, it should be considered in the management of patients who are subjected to such trauma. (Source: Hellenic Journal of Surgery)

Spectrum of perforation peritonitis at a tertiary healthcare centre: A prospective cohort study of 1908 cases
Conclusion Perforation peritonitis is still a dreadful disease. Malignancy is a rare cause in our region. Resuscitation before surgery improves outcome. The formation of only a stoma in bowel perforations and omentopexy in the stomach and duodenum perforations rather than extensive emergency surgery contribute to low mortality. An unusual presentation of Bochdalek hernia after laparoscopic surgery
Abstract Congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) occurs as a result of an embryologic developmental defect during gestation. Occasionally, CDH is incidentally discovered in adulthood during radiological testing for other reasons, such as mild dyspnoea or digestive symptoms. Herein, we report a case of posterolateral diaphragmatic hernia presented in adulthood, some years after laparoscopic bariatric surgery. (Source: Hellenic Journal of Surgery)

Early endoscopic closure of colocutaneous fistula adjacent to unmatured low colorectal anastomosis with the Over-The-Scope Clip (OTSC)
Abstract We herein describe the case of an 82-year-old man with colocutaneous fistula adjacent to an unmatured but intact low colorectal anastomosis after low anterior resection for rectal adenocarcinoma. Early in the course, an OTSC (Over-The-Scope Clip) was successfully placed onto the fistula’s internal orifice, with concomitant reduction in our patient’s morbidity. Laparoscopic approach in an incarcerated femoral hernia, with the ipsilateral fallopian tube as a single content
Abstract The right fallopian tube as a single content of an incarcerated femoral hernia is an uncommon condition. Due to its extreme rarity, preoperative misdiagnosis is frequent. Femoral hernias are more frequent among women. The strangulation rate is higher than in the other groin hernias. Thus, femoral hernias are usually operated on and diagnosed in an emergency setting which leads to higher postoperative morbidity and mortality. The main aim is to verify the vitality of the contents of the hernia sac. In the absence of ischaemic signs, the contents can be saf...
