Early endoscopic closure of colocutaneous fistula adjacent to unmatured low colorectal anastomosis with the Over-The-Scope Clip (OTSC)

Abstract We herein describe the case of an 82-year-old man with colocutaneous fistula adjacent to an unmatured but intact low colorectal anastomosis after low anterior resection for rectal adenocarcinoma. Early in the course, an OTSC (Over-The-Scope Clip) was successfully placed onto the fistula’s internal orifice, with concomitant reduction in our patient’s morbidity.
