Comprehensive Genomic and Phenotypic Characterization of Germline FH Deletion in Hereditary Leiomyomatosis and Renal Cell Carcinoma (HLRCC)
This study evaluated the prevalence and clinical phenotype of FH deletions in HLRCC patients. Patients with phenotypic manifestations consistent with HLRCC who lacked detectable germline FH intragenic mutations were investigated for FH deletion. A series of 28 patients from 13 families were evaluated using a combination of a comparative genomic hybridization (CGH) array and/or CLIA‐approved FH deletion/duplication analyses. BCOR upregulation in a poorly differentiated synovial sarcoma with SS18L1 ‐SSX1 fusion—A pathologic and molecular pitfall
The diagnosis of poorly differentiated synovial sarcoma (PD‐SS) may be challenging due to overlapping morphologic features with other undifferentiated round cell sarcomas (URCS). Particularly relevant is the histologic overlap and shared BCOR overexpression between a subset of SS and URCS with various BCOR genetic abnormalities.
