A novel and reusable magnetic nanocatalyst developed based on graphene oxide incorporated strontium nanoparticles for the facial synthesis of β‐enamino ketones under solvent‐free conditions
A novel magnetic SrFeGO nanocatalyst (NC) was successfully prepared through a simple sol –gel technique by introducing strontium and iron oxide nanoparticles onto graphene. The as prepared nanocatalyst was well characterized and found to be highly efficient heterogeneous catalyst for the synthesis of β‐enamino ketones under sustainable conditions (solvent‐free at 110 °C in shor t reaction time). Furthermore, the newly synthesized magnetic graphene oxide nanocomposite could be simply recovered and reused for numerous times without substantial decrease in its catalytic activity. A novel magnetic SrFeGO nanocatalyst ...

Synthesis and characterization of superparamagnetic nanohybrid Fe3O4/NH2 ‐Ag as an effective carrier for the delivery of acyclovir
Superparamagnetic Fe3O4/NH2‐Ag has been found as an effective carrier for the controlled loading and release of acyclovir at pH 7.4. In this work, superparamagnetic nanohybrid material Fe3O4/NH2‐Ag is uncovered as an attractive magnetic carrier for the controlled delivery of acyclovir (ACV). This magnetic nanoparticle was synthesized using the hydrothermal method. Then, the surface hydroxyl groups were extended by treating with tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) and (3‐aminopropyl) trimet hoxysilane (APTMS). Finally, Ag nanoparticles were created on the surface of Fe3O4@SiO2‐NH2 nanospheres via reduction of Ag+ ions. ...

Nano ‐synthesis, characterization, modeling and molecular docking analysis of Mn (II), Co (II), Cr (III) and Cu (II) complexes with azo pyrazolone ligand as new favorable antimicrobial and antitumor agents
Novel Mn (II), Co (II), Cr (III) and Cu (II) complexes have been synthesized with azopyrazolone ligand, HL. Their structures were assigned depending on the elemental, thermal and spectral analyses, as well as conductivity and magnetic moment measurements. The XRD results uniquely confirmed the crystalline nature and nano ‐sized particles of Cu (II) complex. The tested compounds showed a reasonable antibacterial activity and weak antitumor efficacy. The in vitro results were confirmed by the in silico molecular docking analysis (docking server). Novel nanosized Mn (II), Co (II), Cr (III) and Cu (II) complexes were synthes...

Coordination behaviour and biological activity studies involving theoretical docking of bis ‐Schiff base ligand and some of its transition metal complexes
A novel bis ‐Schiff base ligand, 1,2‐bis(2‐vinylphenoxy)ethane‐4,6‐diaminopyrimidine‐2‐thiol, was prepared. Coordination compounds of this Schiff base with transition metal cations Cd(II), Zn(II), Ni(II), Co(II), Mn(II), Cu(II) and Fe(III) were synthesized and characterized. Their biological activ ities were experimentally determined and confirmed using theoretical molecular docking. The Schiff base ligand 1,2 ‐bis(2‐vinylphenoxy)ethane‐4,6‐diaminopyrimidine‐2‐thiol derived from the condensation of 4,6‐diaminopyrimidine‐2‐thiol with bisaldehyde was synthesized and characterized. Coordination...

Synthesis of nanocomposites from cationic polyacrylamide and modified carbon black: Application as flocculants for oily sludge suspension
In this paper, 1 ‐CB was synthesized by the sulfuric acid/potassium permanganate method, 1‐CB/CPAM was synthesized using a hydrothermal method. 1‐CB/CPAM flocculated oil sludge particles at different pH values, which exhibited excellent flocculation performance. Carbon black was modified using various liquid ‐phase oxidation methods (modified carbon black = m‐CB,m = (1, 2, 3): 1, sulfuric acid/potassium permanganate method; 2, nitric acid method; 3, hydrogen peroxide method). With acetone–ethylene glycol as initiator, dimethyldiallylammonium chloride (DMDAAC) and acrylamide (AM) as monomer, cationic polyacr...

Syntheses, structural characterizations, and electrochemical and fluorescent properties of homo ‐ and hetero‐polynuclear transition metal(II) complexes
Rare homo ‐ and hetero‐polynuclear transition metal(II) complexes, [{Cu(L1)}2] (1) and [Cu(L2)Ni2(CH3OH)2] (2), were prepared and characterized. Complex1 possesses an uncommon dinuclear structure bonded by two alkoxy bridges. Complex2 exhibits an unexpected trinuclear heterobimetallic structure from two chelating (L2)3 − units in crossover mode. Fluorescence behaviors of1 and2 were investigated, and electrochemical experiments revealed that electrolytic redox reactions of1 are irreversible processes. Rare homo ‐ and hetero‐polynuclear transition metal(II) complexes, [{Cu(L1)}2] (1) and [Cu(L2)Ni2(CH3OH)2] (2), we...

Using chiral phosphoramide ligand2d ‐Zn (II) complex derived from (1R,2R) ‐1,2‐diphenylethylenediamine as the catalyst, we have developed efficient catalytic asymmetric 1,2‐addition/lactonization tandem reactions of diverse organozinc reagents with varied methyl 2‐formylbenzoates for the construction of optically enriched 3‐aryl or alkyl substituted phthalides, which are significant building blocks of many important chiral pharmaceuticals and natural products. The corresponding products could be afforded with good to excellent yields (up to 95%) and moderate to good enantioselectivities (up to 89%). Using chira...
