Facile synthesis of copper hexacyanoferrate/graphene nanocomposite for electrochemical energy storage
A schematic illustration of the synthesis process of nanocomposite. A two ‐component nanocomposite of copper hexacyanoferrate/reduced graphene oxide (CuHCF/rGO) was successfully synthesized using a solution‐based co‐precipitation process in the presence of graphene oxide solution. Electrochemical measurements indicated a specific capacitance of 548 F g−1 at a current density of 0.5  A g−1 in the potential range of −0.2 to 1 V, versus Ag/AgCl standard electrode, obtained in an electrolyte of 0.5 M K2SO4 (as a neutral electrolyte) during galvanostatic charge/discharge cycles. Synthesis, theoretical investigations, biocidal screening, DNA binding, in vitro cytotoxicity and molecular docking of novel Cu (II), Pd (II) and Ag (I) complexes of chlorobenzylidene Schiff base: Promising antibiotic and anticancer agents
Three new Cu (II), Pd (II) and Ag (I) complexes with bidentate Schiff base ligand 2 ‐[(4‐chlorobenzylidene)amino] phenol were synthesized and characterized. The optimized geometry parameters were evaluated and the total energy of HOMO and LUMO, Mullikan atomic charges, dipole moment, orientation and nonlinear optical properties are discussed. The investigated complexes were tes ted for their antimicrobial and anticancer activities. The obtained results were confirmed by docking and DNA interaction studies. Biological evaluation, DNA/protein ‐binding aptitude of novel dibenzosuberene appended palladium (II)‐thiourea complexes
Four novel Pd(II) complexes were successfully utilized for biomolecular interaction studies. The complexes showed prominent cytotoxicity against various cell lines. These encouraging results are helpful in the different biological applications in future endeavor. A sustainable catalyst for biaryl synthesis through various coupling reactions has been reported.
