Biological evaluation of rare earth complexes bearing 1H ‐imidazo[4,5‐f]‐1,10‐phenanthroline moiety as promising anticancer chemotherapeutics
Six lanthanide(III) complexes with the 2 ‐(naphthalen‐1‐yl)‐1H‐imidazo[4,5‐f]‐1,10‐phenanthroline ligand have been synthesized and characterized. Low IC50 values of these complexes were measured with three human cancer cell lines. Complex5 could induce BEL ‐7404 cancer cell apoptosis via the extrinsic pathway with high expression of caspase‐8, resulting in caspase‐3 activation. Furthermore, complex5 could significantly suppress BEL ‐7404 cell proliferation via induced apoptosis with G2/M phase cell cycle. Facile fabrication of BUC ‐21/g‐C3N4 composites and their enhanced photocatalytic Cr(VI) reduction performances under simulated sunlight
A series of enhanced photocatalytically active BUC ‐21/g‐C3N4 composites have been prepared via ball ‐milling. The optimal B100G100 exhibited excellent photocatalytic activities for Cr(VI) reduction under the simulated sunlight and real sunlight irradiation, which is obviously superior to pure BUC‐21 and g‐C3N4. Desulfinative and denitrogenative palladium ‐catalyzed cross‐coupling of arylsulfonyl hydrazides with aryl diazonium salts
Arylsulfonyl hydrazides and aryl diazonium salts can be used as coupling participants in PdCl2/Dcypm ‐catalyzed cross‐coupling reactions. Various substrates were smoothly converted to form corresponding biaryl products in good to excellent yields. Advantages of this reaction include good functional group tolerance, high reactivity, relatively mild conditions and easy access to the coupling part ners. Co(III), V(IV) and Cu(II) complexes of bidentate N,O ‐donor Schiff base ligands: Characterization, anticancer activities and metal oxide nanoparticles preparation via solid state thermal decomposition
Three new Schiff base complexes were synthesized and fully characterized. The complexes were used as solid precursor to produce pure ‐phase nanoparticles by solid state thermal decomposition. In vitro anticancer activity of compounds was evaluated against the MKN‐45 cancer cells. Results showed promising anticancer activities of prepared complexes. A series of new lanthanide complexes with 2 ‐bromo‐5‐methoxybenzoic acid and 5,5′‐dimethyl‐2,2′‐bipyridine: Crystal structures, thermal behavior, luminescent and magnetic properties

Ferrocene ‐appended donor–π–acceptor Schiff base: Structural, nonlinear optical, aggregation‐induced emission and density functional theory studies

Preparation and characterization of magnetically separable MgFe2O4/Mg(OH)2 nanocomposite as an efficient heterogeneous catalyst for regioselective one ‐pot synthesis of β‐chloroacetates from epoxides
Magnetically separable MgFe2O4/Mg(OH)2 nanoparticles were fabricated and characterized. These nanoparticles were used as a catalyst for regioselective one ‐pot synthesis of β‐chloroacetates from epoxides in EtOH at room temperature giving high to excellent yields. Effects of addition mode on Zn –Co double metal cyanide catalyst for synthesis of oligo(propylene‐carbonate) diols
Effects of dropping mode on Zn –Co double metal cyanide (DMC) catalyst are investigated using three different dropping methods. The factors that affect crystalline state are summarized and a flower‐like morphology is observed which endows the DMC catalyst with a large surface area. In copolymerization reaction, appropriate O/ Zn value is beneficial to suppress the formation of by‐product.
