A new nano ‐sized mononuclear Cu (II) complex with N,N‐donor Schiff base ligands: sonochemical synthesis, characterization, molecular modeling and biological activity
A new copper (II) Schiff base complex has been synthesized by reflux and sonochemical methods and was confirmed by different spectroscopic techniques. The complexes (bulk and nano) have been screened for their in vitro microbiology activity against four types of bacteria and three strains of fungi. Finally, the copper complex was optimized at the DFT ‐B3LYP/6–31 + G(d) calculation level using the Gaussian 03 package.
