Two pelvises, one stone: A different approach for management of calculi in a duplex renal collecting system
We describe a patient with a duplex collecting system presenting with a renal calculus. Initial flexible ureteroscopy failed to reach the collecting system containing the stone due to inability to visualize an additional ureteric orifice. The patient then underwent percutaneous puncture of the stone containing moiety, followed by antegrade stent insertion. This allowed for guidewire-assisted passage of a ureteroscope into the duplex collecting system, where the calculi were identified and fragmented. (Source: African Journal of Urology)

Section ur étérale au cours d’un traumatisme pénétrant de l’abdomen: à propos d’un cas et revue de la littérature
We report a case of a young patient admitted for penetrating abdominal trauma following a wound by a sharp object, admitted to the surgical emergency department at CHU Ibn Ruchd Casablanca, with hemodynamic instability and evisceration. Intraoperative abdominal exploration noted a complete ureteral section with a partial jejunal section without major vascular injury. Adequate haemostasis has been achieved; uretero - ureteral anastomosis with a double J stent was performed to treat the ureteral section, and jejunal wound was sutured with absorbable suture with feeding jejunostomy. The postoperative course was unenventful. P...

The role of 3-dimensional sonography and virtual sonographic cystscopy in detection of bladder tumors
Conclusion Additional to lower costs and no radiation exposure, 3D sonography appears comparable to the use of CT scans and MRI in providing virtual cystoscopy in investigating bladder cancer. Virtual sonographic cystoscopy may therefore be a useful alternative for screening and follow up of tumors, particularly if conventional cystoscopy cannot be performed. However, 3D sonography cannot replace pathological staging, and there is still a need to further improve this technology for enhanced assessment of mucosal abnormalities.

The first report of 3 forgotten encrusted double J stents in the same ureter: An endourology nightmare!
Conclusion The first report of 3 encrusted stents within the same ureter is presented. The prevention of JJ stent encrustation is crucial via adequate and appropriate patient counselling. In most patients with forgotten encrusted stents who qualify for endoscopic management, a multi-modality approach is required. (Source: African Journal of Urology)

Renal epithelioid angiomyolipoma: 2 Cases report
Conclusion Renal tumours with certain unusual features should be investigated immunohistochemically to exclude the possibility of epithelioid angiomyolipoma. These tumours are more likely to have an aggressive behaviour when they show more morphologic features predicting malignancy. (Source: African Journal of Urology)

Successful penile reimplantation and systematic review of world literature
Conclusion Self-inflicted penile amputation may manifest as first psychotic break in apparently normal subjects. Though microscopic neurovascular reconstruction is the gold standard, macrosurgical reimplantation of penis by an experienced surgeon in the absence of a microscope yields satisfactory results.
