Cochrane appoints Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser

Methods Innovation Fund announces funding of new projects
The Methods Innovation Fund is pleased to announce the successful projects for Cochrane’s second three-year Methods Innovation Fund programme. The Methods Application and Review Standards Advisory Committee sifted topic suggestions received from across Cochrane to a final set of 16 priority methodological topics. We then invited competitive applications for funds from Methods Groups or topic experts. We received 15 applications; all of these underwent assessment and independent peer review, resulting in seven successful projects within the allocated funds of £375,000.

One of the 2014 targets for the Communications and External Affairs Department (CEAD) was to create a spokesperson policy. Announcing the establishment of the Polish Cochrane Branch
The Nordic Cochrane Centre (NCC) is delighted to announce the establishment of the Polish Cochrane Branch, based at the Jagiellonian University of Krakow. The Director of Cochrane Poland will be Malgorzata Bala, who is an assistant professor in the department of internal medicine at the Jagiellonian University Medical College, and an author of several Cochrane Reviews. Introducing Project Transform: Bringing people and technology together for evidence production
