BMJ and JAMA have produced a video, Evidence-Based Medicine: An Oral History, focusing on the origins of the evidence-based medicine (EBM) movement and some of the people who have played a prominent part in its development. Mike Clarke, and other Cochrane authors, named on global list of the most ‘Highly Influential Biomedical Researchers’
Mike Clarke, Cochrane founding member, founder and current project lead of Evidence Aid, and Professor at Queen’s University Belfast is among 400 scientists named on the worldwide list compiled by US researchers.The list, published in the European Journal of Clinical Investigation, was based on journal articles and citations from 1996 to 2011. It also names a number of of other Cochrane authors and we will be publishing a more detailed story on this achievement soon. Cochrane Protocols now on PROSPERO
Publishing protocols is a crucial element of the process of producing Cochrane Reviews. PROSPERO, the international prospective register of systematic reviews in health and social care, now provides a place to register protocol information for all such reviews.PROSPERO is web-based, free to search and open for free registration to anyone undertaking a systematic review with a health-related outcome. Québec Branch of the Canadian Cochrane Centre opens
The Canadian Cochrane Centre (CCC) is very pleased to announce the opening of the Québec Branch of the CCC. Jeremy Grimshaw, Director of the CCC, formally announced the establishment of the Québec Branch at the Opening Ceremony of the 2013 Colloquium.
