Complications associated with the techniques for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction in patients under 18 years old: A systematic review
Conclusions The different anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction techniques in patients under 18 years old had low complications related to lower limb growth, arthrofibrosis and review. There was a higher percentage of cases of length discrepancy and axis deviation with physeal-sparing techniques than with the other surgical techniques. Efficacy and safety of the topical application of tranexamic acid in primary cementless hip arthroplasty: Prospective, randomised, double-blind and controlled study

Ankle fracture controversies: Do the foot and ankle specialists have a different vision?
Conclusions The foot and ankle specialists ask for more complementary tests to diagnose ankle fractures. In turn, they use a greater diversity of surgical techniques in synthesis of the posterior malleolus (posterior plate) and the medial malleolus (cerclage wires). This study compares the efficacy in post-operative pain control of the intraarticular catheter compared to the epidural catheter after primary total knee arthroplasty. Tibial bone lengthening via external fixation: Comparative study of the traditional technique and a technique with intramedullary nail assistance
Discussion and conclusions Lengthening over an intramedullary nail is more effective than using external fixation alone for tibial lengthening with regard to time of external fixation, index of external fixation and complication rate. Percutaneous K wire fixation in pediatric lateral condylar fractures of humerus: A prospective study
Conclusion Percutaneous K-wire fixation is an effective treatment for unstable displaced lateral condylar fractures of the humerus in children. Lumbar segmental artery pseudoaneurysm after L5 pedicle screw placement. A rare vascular complication
We present a case of a massive bleed after a pedicular screw placement during lumbar canal stenosis surgery. Screw malposition led to intraoperative haemodynamic instability after failed attempts to control bleeding in the surgical site. Contrast enhanced CT imaging revealed a lumbar intersegmentary artery injury that was eventually controlled by means of a coil embolisation. Predictive factors of hospital stay, mortality and functional recovery after surgery for hip fracture in elderly patients
Conclusions Evaluation of physical, cognitive and social status prior to hip fracture should be the basis of an individual treatment plan because of its great prognostic value. Multidisciplinary teams with continuous monitoring of medical problems should prevent and treat complications as soon as possible. Adult spinal deformity treated with minimally invasive surgery. Description of surgical technique, radiological results and literature review

Surgical treatment of extra-articular distal-third diaphyseal fractures of the humerus using a modified posterior approach and an extra-articular plate
Conclusion Surgical fixation of these fractures through a modified posterior approach with a posterolateral plate minimises iatrogenic nerve injury, provides better visualisation of the proximal humerus, provides stable fixation of these injuries and results in high union rates and overall excellent functional results. Factors associated with lumbar disc hernia recurrence after microdiscectomy

Outcomes using wedge stem with full hydroxiapatite coverage with a minimum of 5 years ’ follow-up
Conclusions The radiological results confirm the benefits of this type of stem with good osteointegration. The clinical and subjective results are promising.
