Consequences of quality of reduction on osteosynthesis complications and quality of life in elderly patients with subtrochanteric fracture
ConclusionsReduction in subtrochanteric fractures in older people is key to obtaining better clinic and surgical results, improving time to union and decreasing surgical complications. Exposure of the focus fracture seems to be a safe manoeuvre. Arthroscopic hip surgery with a microfracture procedure of acetabular full-thickness chondral damage. Cohort study with a 3-year follow-up
This study showed that patients undergoing microfracture during hip arthroscopy had significant improvement in all patient-reported outcome instruments during follow-up. The greatest improvement was noted at 6 months postoperatively. ConclusionsThere was a significant number of implanted prostheses (11.24%) for which no clinical evidence was found. The number of models should be noted, 36 out of 110, with fewer than 10 units implanted. Acute ischiofemoral impingement?
We report a case of rare clinical entity, which comes within the spectrum of hip impingements. The case deals with a 36 year old female, Olympic athlete, who developed ischiofemoral impingement 14 months after a surgical hamstring reattachment. She was treated conservatively and fully recovered. When looking into literature on this matter, we found that it is probably an under-diagnosed problem, particularly in patients with no history of prior surgery. Outcomes of rotator cuff augmentation surgery with autologous fascia lata
ConclusionOur preliminary results regarding rotator cuff augmentation surgery with autologous fascia lata showed a significant improvement in pain levels after 6 months compared to the patients with no augmentation, who required 12 months to reach the same values.
