Anomalous insertion of the medial meniscus into a triple bundle anterior cruciate ligament: A rare combination of two anatomical variants
We report the case of a 35-year-old female patient with an AIMM into a triple bundle ACL associated with tears of the medial meniscus in both of her knees. Arthroscopic partial meniscectomy was performed on one side, and conservative treatment with physiotherapy was chosen for the other side with good clinical outcomes. Diagnostic efficacy of dynamic liver imaging using qualitative diagnostic algorithm versus LI-RADS v2018 lexicon for atypical versus classical HCC lesions: A decade of experience from a tertiary liver institute
ConclusionIt was observed that the LI-RADS v2018 lexicon with qualitative imaging as a combination technique added extra value in interpretation of atypical HCC or indeterminate lesions on dynamic CT and MRI compared to either as ‘stand- alone’ reporting systems. Frequency and causes of delayed diagnosis of visceral artery pseudoaneurysms with CT: Lessons learned
ConclusionsOur study showed that 58 % of VAPA were diagnosed with delay, with the following four reasons for misdiagnosis: Lack of an arterial contrast phase in CT, no techniques for artifact reduction, and lack of awareness of the radiologists. Avoiding delayed diagnosis will most probably improve outcome of patients with VAPA. (Source: European Journal of Radiology Open)

Does bone scintigraphy show Modic changes associated with increased bone turnover?
ConclusionIn most cases, MC with a Type 1 component showed increased tracer uptake in bone scintigraphy. This indicates that bone turnover is accelerated in the M1 area. (Source: European Journal of Radiology Open)

Imaging of advanced craniofacial fibrous dysplasia associated with McCune-Albright syndrome: A case report
Publication date: 2020Source: European Journal of Radiology Open, Volume 7Author(s): Lynda N. Bile-Gui, Judicael Ahoury, Raïssa M. KabasAbstractThe fibrous dysplasia of bone is painless, benign, and slowly progressive bone lesion. It may rarely become aggressive by compression of adjacent organs or malignant transformation. This disease falls within the scope of a McCune-Albright syndrome in less than 7 % of cases. The authors reported the case of a 25-year-old woman, living in the countryside, who suffered from a severe craniofacial fibrous dysplasia which has begun since her childhood with no medical care. Her clinical ...

Discrimination between tuberculous and bacterial pyomyositis in magnetic resonance features
ConclusionsMagnetic resonance imaging has modest accuracy for differentiation of tuberculous and bacterial pyomyositis. Diabetes mellitus and extraspinal pyomyositis were the predictors of bacterial pyomyositis. Presence of T2 hyperintense wall of intramuscular abscess was also the predictor of bacterial pyomyositis. Inguinal herniation of left ovary, fallopian tube and rudimentary left horn of bicornuate uterus associated with type 2 Mayer-Rakitansky-Kuster-Hauser (MRKH) syndrome in a teenage girl: A case report and literature review
Publication date: 2020Source: European Journal of Radiology Open, Volume 7Author(s): Ramezan Jafari, Mohammad Javanbakht, Fatemeh DehghanpoorAbstractThe incidence rate of ovarian herniation in the inguinal canal is 3 %. Nevertheless, the herniation of ovary with uterus is extremely scarce. Most of these cases are accompanied with congenital genitourinary malformations such as Mayer-Rakitansky-Kuster-Hauser (MRKH) syndrome and Mullerian duct malformations. Herein, a 13-year-old girl presented with type2 MRKH syndrome together with left groin swelling and pain. Sonography reports ovarian herniation into left inguinal canal a...
