Contact allergy to methylisothiazolinone/methylchloroisothiazolinone: A retrospective case series in a referral center in northern Taiwan
Conclusion According to our study, the incidence of MI/MCI contact allergy in a referral center in Taiwan was 5.4%. A trend of increasing incidence of contact allergy to MI/MCI was noted after 2005, which is consistent with the findings in Europe. Allergic contact dermatitis to MI/MCI should be suspected in patients who have eczema on the hands and face, especially those who are aromatherapists. (Source: Dermatologica Sinica)

Purpuric halo around hemangioma as a clue for primary systemic amyloidosis: Case report and review of literature
We reported a case of systemic AL amyloidosis who was initially presented as a solitary hemangioma with a purpuric halo. Excisional biopsy revealed a hemangioma with amyloid deposited in thickened vascular walls. Systemic AL amyloidosis was diagnosed after thorough survey. The stage of disease at the time of initial treatment is the greatest prognostic factor. To our knowledge, this is the first case of systemic AL amyloidosis initially presented as a purpuric halo around hemangioma in Taiwan. This target-like lesion should be linked to systemic AL amyloidosis and early diagnosis is extraordinary important. (Source: Dermatologica Sinica)

Efficacy of cyclosporine for the treatment of Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis: Systemic review and meta-analysis
Conclusion We have provided the first meta-analysis study regarding the efficacy on mortality of cyclosporine for treatment of SJS/TEN. From the existing research, cyclosporine has a beneficial effect on mortality. And there is a trend that cyclosporine demonstrated better survival whether in pooled OR or SMR ratio than IVIg. Due to the limitations of current studies, a double-blind randomized controlled trial is still urged. (Source: Dermatologica Sinica)

Folliculotropic mycosis fungoides: A case after one-year follow-up
We describe a patient with preferential localization of skin lesions in the head and neck region with eyelid involvement, grouped follicular papules and acneiform lesions, severe pruritus and secondary bacterial infections. The histological presentation showed folliculotropic neoplastic lymphoid cells instead of epidermotropic infiltrates. The final diagnosis was folliculotropic mycosis fungoides (FMF), a rare, more aggressive variant of CTCL. Clinical manifestations of FMF may be challenging; thus, multiple, deep biopsy containing adnexal structures, are required to make this crucial diagnosis. (Source: Dermatologica Sinica)
