Association of long ‐term glycaemic control on tear break‐up times and dry eye symptoms in Chinese patients with type 2 diabetes
Conclusions and RelevanceOur findings highlight the importance of good glycaemic control as a modifiable risk factor for both dry eye symptoms and tear film instability in patients with T2DM. (Source: Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology)

Delayed cystoid macular oedema after uncomplicated laser peripheral iridotomy
Abstract Laser peripheral iridotomy (LPI) is the standard treatment for angle‐closure glaucoma and eyes at risk for this condition, such as those with occludable narrow angles. While generally considered a safe and routine procedure in the clinic, it is not without risk. (Source: Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology)

Swept source optical coherence tomography findings of tuberous sclerosis associated retinal astrocytoma
Abstract Retinal astrocytomas are low‐grade neoplasms, typically of non‐aggressive nature. Tumor characteristics may vary greatly and they most often occur in association with tuberous sclerosis. Less commonly, astrocytomas may occur with neurofibromatosis or they may be sporadic 1,2. (Source: Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology)

Investigation of corneal endothelial changes post selective laser trabeculoplasty
Conclusions and relevanceAltered ZO‐1 immunostaining may represent disassembly of tight junctions between corneal endothelial cells. The similarity of our findings between SLT‐treated and peroxide‐treated corneas suggests that both conditions trigger changes at the level of endothelial tight junctions, perhaps triggered by liberation of free radicals as previously proposed. Acute crocodile tear syndrome without antecedant facial nerve palsy
Abstract Crocodile tear syndrome (CTS) is a rare symptom characterized by excessive unilateral tearing occurring with gustatory stimuli known to develop as a sequel of facial nerve involvement as evident by facial palsy on the affected side.(1) CTS may more rarely occur without antecedent facial palsy with only four cases described in English literature.(2) (Source: Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology)

Comparison of ICare tonometry to Goldman tonometry for the measurement of intraocular pressure changes following intravitreal anti ‐VEGF injection
Abstract In developed countries, age‐related macular degeneration (AMD) is a leading cause of visual impairment, particularly in its neovascular form.1 Intravitreal injection of anti‐vascular endothelial growth factor (anti‐VEGF) is the standard of care for wet AMD. Inspite of the small intravitreal bolus of 0.05ml, many studies have reported a rise in intraocular pressure (IOP) immediately post injection.1‐3 (Source: Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology)

Retraction gonioscopy, a novel method in the diagnosis of cyclodialysis clefts
Abstract Clinical examination remains the gold standard in the diagnosis of a cyclodialysis cleft. This could be challenging especially in the presence of folds in Descemet’s membrane, hyphema, corneal edema, peripheral anterior synechiae or a shallow anterior chamber.1 (Source: Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology)
