Tetrahedral DNA nanostructures facilitate neural stem cell migration via activating RHOA/ROCK2 signalling pathway
ConclusionsIn conclusion, TDNs could enter NSCs without the aid of other transfection reagents in large amounts, whereas only small amounts of ssDNA could enter the cells. TDNs taken up by NSCs activated the RHOA/ROCK2 signalling pathway, which had effects on the relevant genes and proteins expression, eventually promoting the migration of NE ‐4C stem cells. These findings suggested that TDNs have great potential in application for the repair and regeneration of neural tissue. (Source: Cell Proliferation)

Cathepsin B regulates non ‐canonical NLRP3 inflammasome pathway by modulating activation of caspase‐11 in Kupffer cells
ConclusionOur results suggest a critical role for cathepsin B as activators of proinflammatory caspases ‐11 and the regulatory effect in LPS‐induced caspases‐11‐dependent necrosis. (Source: Cell Proliferation)

Prolyl hydroxylases positively regulated LPS ‐induced inflammation in human gingival fibroblasts via TLR4/MyD88‐mediated AKT/NF‐κB and MAPK pathways
ConclusionsProlyl hydroxylases acted as a positive regulator in LPS ‐induced inflammation of HGFs via TLR4/MyD88‐mediated NF‐κB, MAPK and AKT signalling pathways and PHD2 among three isoforms was principally responsible for the effects. (Source: Cell Proliferation)

Melatonin protects mesenchymal stem cells from autophagy ‐mediated death under ischaemic ER‐stress conditions by increasing prion protein expression
ConclusionMelatonin protects against ER stress/autophagy ‐induced apoptotic cell death by augmenting PrPC expression. Thus, melatonin ‐treated MSCs could be a potential cell‐based therapeutic agent for ER stress–induced ischaemic diseases, and melatonin‐induced PrPC might be a key molecule in ameliorating ER stress and autophagy. Nuclear factor ‐kappa B‐dependent X‐box binding protein 1 signalling promotes the proliferation of nucleus pulposus cells under tumour necrosis factor alpha stimulation
ConclusionsUnfolded protein response reinforces the survival and proliferation of NPCs under TNF ‐α stimulation by activating the XBP1 pathway, and NF‐κB serves as a vital mediator in these events. The XBP1 signalling of UPR can be a novel therapeutic target in IDD. (Source: Cell Proliferation)

IL ‐33 guides osteogenesis and increases proliferation and pluripotency marker expression in dental stem cells
ConclusionsIL ‐33 treatment impairs osteogenesis of PDLSCs and DPSCs, while increases their clonogenicity, proliferation and pluripotency marker expression. After exposure to IL‐33, osteogenic capacity of cells stayed intact. NF‐κB and β‐catenin are implicated in the effects achieved by IL‐33 in PDLSC s and DPSCs. (Source: Cell Proliferation)
