GAMSAT or Nah?
so basically here is my background. I had a CDD in A levels. An access to medicine course and a first class in human bioscience (i was a stupid teen during my a levels) anyway am considering doing my GAMSAT for Nottingham, St Georges or Swansea or UKCAT for Newcastle, Warwick and Kings. But here is the dilemma. I feel like by doing two exams i wont be working at my highest potential. I have done the UKCAT before and the timing gets me every time. On the other hand the GAMSAT is crazy hard and am doubting i will be prepared by sep. what would you recommend. Is BMAT for Oxford even an option ? TIA (Source: New Media Medicine)

Understanding the UK Medical School Entry Process for US grads
Hello: I need some help understanding the Medical School admission process in the UK. I am an undergraduate at a U Cal graduating in 2016 with a B.S. in Biological Sciences. For personal reasons, I would like to move to UK and attempt to pursue a degree in Medicine. I have the qualifications needed at least in paper to come across "as a very competitive applicant." Can someone enlighten me about which program I need to apply to? What is referred to as postgraduate studies in medicine, in the US is considered a medical residency or fellowship. I understand that are different programs but obviously I do not qual...

question about insulin
Hi i was just a bit stuck on these two questions and would be grateful if anyone could help. Which peritoneum-covered structure lies immediately posterosuperior to the normal spleen? is it the diaphragm or kidney? Describe the anatomical route taken by insulin released from the pancreas. Which tissue removes the greatest amount of insulin from the blood? Thanks a lot (Source: New Media Medicine)

TAB - anyone know what happens if we haven't completed one?
Arghhhh! I didn't do a TAB in my first rotation, I was one person short in my second rotation (I got caught out by the fact all the categories had turned green to show minimum of each achieved - but I didn't realise I was still one short!) and now in the third rotation there was a mix up with my job and I moved twice. The TAB opened when I started with my new team and now closed again in the space of 3 three weeks so I only had 5 replies. I can't believe it was so short. It was a least about 2 months last time! Does anyone know what happens if it's not done? I told my Foundation school that I didn't realise it was closin...

Gamsat - gradmed - gold standard - prep materials
Hi, I'm planning on taking the Sep. 15 Gamsat exam. Does anyone think it's too late to start preparing. I studied A level Biology but not Chemistry or Physics. Although, at GCSE, I did do well in both subjects. Would anyone care to share some advice on the best sources to prepare for this exam. Gradmed? Gold standard? etc. Also, does anyone have Gradmed notes for sale? Thanks :D (Source: New Media Medicine)
