January 15, 2015, New York, New York –Mr. Larry Whitt of New York, New York filed a federal court complaint last Thursday against Prosper Funding, LLC, and Prosper Marketplace, Inc. NAD Comments on Movie Theater Captioning
On December 1, 2014, the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) filed, on behalf of several deaf and hard of hearing consumer groups, a Comment responding to the Notice of Proposed Rule-Making (NPRM) from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) on movie theater captioning. This Comment seeks that movie theaters provide both closed captioning which the DOJ proposes as well as open captioning. read more (Source: National Association of the Deaf)

NAD Files Suit Against MD Venues
December 1, 2014; Baltimore, MD – Today, the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) and the law firm of Brown, Goldstein & Levy, LLP filed a lawsuit in a Baltimore federal court against Key Brand Theatrical Group, Inc., The Hippodrome Foundation, and the Maryland Stadium Authority. The lawsuit, filed on behalf of Baltimore resident Jessica Gill, alleges that the defendants are refusing to provide captioning for theatrical performances at the Hippodrome Theater in Baltimore, in violation of federal disability law. read more (Source: National Association of the Deaf)

Meet the Fall 2014 Interns!
Morgan Arons, a Clinic I student attorney, was born and raised in Princeton, New Jersey. She went to the University of Delaware, where she studied Political Science with a Public Law focus and minor in Legal Studies.
