GP at Hand set to apply to be single network in'destabilising' move

15% increase in patients waiting a month for a GP appointment
Month-long waits for a GP appointment have increased significantly in the past year, according to a new BMA report.  The BMA looked at official figures to see how the NHS has been performing over recent winters, mostly between January and March.  It found that 2.23 million patients waited more than 28 days to get a GP appointment this year - an increase of 15% from last year.  According to the BMA, these waits were partly due to the'continuing shortages in the number of GPs working'. Hide related content:  Show related contentread more (Source: Management in Practice)

More than two-thirds of practice managers attend CCG or equivalent meetings, new research has revealed. The study, carried out by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in 2017, explores the role of 1,424 practice managers across the UK. Practices to get fibre-optic internet to support long-term plan, says Hancock

CCG's £32m Babylon deficit'may lead to practice closures', Hancock told

RCGP calls for a more'robust' NHS IT system

PHE expert blames'lack of appointments' for low measles vaccination uptake
