ConclusionIn conclusion, this review of the cross-cultural adaptation of measures of oral health related quality of life has demonstrated that very few studies met all the criteria for a valid cross cultural adaptation of a measure. They recommend that in order to adapt questionnaires, researchers should follow a multi-step method including forward translation, back translation, committee review, and qualitative interviews and pretesting.
