Addressing policy needs for prevention and control of type 2 diabetes in India
This article addresses several needs such as strengthening the national programme and increasing its reach to unreached districts, exerting drug price regulation and implementing community-based participatory programmes for prevention and management of type 2 diabetes. It also underscores a need for piloting and implementing a robust national level electronic reporting system for diabetes programmes. Benefits and barriers to the public health pharmacy: a qualitative exploration of providers' and commissioners' perceptions of the Healthy Living Pharmacy framework
Conclusion: The HLP framework was perceived as valuable by providers although there were areas of concern. A key barrier to the framework – perceived by both providers and commissioners – was the implementation of health checks. This should be considered in future commissioning. Conceptualisation of patient satisfaction: a systematic narrative literature review
Conclusions: Researchers brought satisfaction theories from other fields to the current healthcare literature without much adaptation. Thus, there is a need to attempt to define the patient satisfaction concept from other perspectives or to learn how patients evaluate the care rather than struggling to describe it by consumerist theories. Conclusion: If UK GPs are to continue their contractual responsibility for completing fit notes, further consideration of their education and training needs is urgently required.
