Corrigendum to “Association of burnout with emotional intelligence and personality in surgical residents: Can we predict who is most at risk?” [J Surg Educ (2017) e22–e30]
The authors regret that the percentage of residents categorized as having ‘high burnout’ was artificially high in the manuscript due to use of a 1–7 scoring scale rather than 0–6. The text should read as follows (changes in bold): (Source: Journal of Surgical Education)

Understanding and Assessing Nontechnical Skills in Robotic Urological Surgery: A Systematic Review and Synthesis of the Validity Evidence
Robotic urological surgery (RUS) has seen widespread adoption across institutions in the last decade. To match this rapid growth, it is imperative to develop a structured RUS curriculum that addresses both technical and nontechnical competencies. Emerging evidence has shown that nontechnical skills form a critical component of RUS training. The purpose of this review is to examine the validity evidence of available nontechnical skills assessment tools in RUS. (Source: Journal of Surgical Education)

Attitudes Toward Communication and Collaboration After Participation in a Mock Page Program: A Pilot of an Interprofessional Approach to Surgical Residency Preparation
A source of insecurity among new physicians and new nurses is communicating and managing acute changes in patient condition. Mock page programs are an effective method for teaching communication and clinical decision-making skills to medical students. Joint participation in a mock page program provides a unique opportunity for medical and nursing students to practice communication, collaboration, and clinical decision-making in a low-risk learning environment. The purpose of this pilot study was to examine attitudes toward communication and collaboration among medical and nursing students after participation in a mock page...

Popularity of Online Multimedia Educational Resources in Neurosurgery: Insights from The Neurosurgical Atlas Project
The Neurosurgical Atlas is a popular world-wide multimedia website in neurosurgery with informative chapters and videos to promote excellence and safety in neurosurgical techniques. Here, we present our analysis of the viewing data of this website. This is intended to describe how online neurosurgical resources are being utilized by today's neurosurgical community. We hope this will be a useful guide for neurosurgeons interested in online multimedia education. (Source: Journal of Surgical Education)

Characterization and Perceptions of Surgical Clinician Educators: An International Survey
Surgeons worldwide face unique time and practice pressures differentiating them from other types of physicians, specifically as clinician educators (CEs). The purpose of this study is to identify and describe academic surgical clinician educators (SCEs) in international graduate medical education systems, characterize their perceptions of roles, preparedness, and factors affecting job satisfaction and retention, as compared to nonsurgical international CEs. Cut or Do Not Cut? Assessing Perceptions of Safety During Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy Using Surgical Videos
Bile duct injury remains a serious complication of laparoscopic cholecystectomy despite established criteria for the critical view of safety (CVS). Using surgical videos, we compared surgeons ’ willingness to divide critical structures based on their assessment of the CVS dissection. (Source: Journal of Surgical Education)

Progress in Knee Arthroscopy Skills of Residents and Medical Students: A Prospective Assessment of Simulator Exercises and Analysis of Learning Curves
Knee arthroscopies are very common orthopedic procedures. For a number of reasons, including increased public awareness for medical errors, patient safety, strict regulations governing duty-hours for residents, surgeons ’ liability, and an increasing emphasis on the efficient use of operating room time, interest in simulator training is on the rise. It was the purpose of this study to analyze learning curves of medical students and orthopedic resident surgeons using a virtual knee arthroscopy simulator. (Source: Journal of Surgical Education)

Use of Learning Teams to Improve the Educational Environment of General Surgery Residency
Recent surgical education literature has focused on means of improving structured educational experience in residency, particularly in the context of limited working hours. In addition, prior studies have illustrated a void in training regarding leadership. Learning teams have been adopted in several medical schools with an aim to improve the educational experience. We instituted resident learning teams with a goal of improving resident education. (Source: Journal of Surgical Education)

Learning Curve of Robotic Rectal Surgery With Lateral Lymph Node Dissection: Cumulative Sum and Multiple Regression Analyses
This study aimed to assess the learning curve of robotic rectal surgery, a procedure that has gained increasing focus in recent years because it is expected that the advanced devices used in this approach provide advantages resulting in a shorter learning curve than that of laparoscopic surgery. However, no studies have assessed the learning curve of robotic rectal surgery, especially when lateral lymph node dissection is required. (Source: Journal of Surgical Education)
