Quantification of Respiratory Movement of the Aorta and Side Branches
Conclusion: The aorta and side branches undergo considerable respiratory movement. The results from this study provide an important contribution to understanding aortic dynamics. (Source: Journal of Endovascular Therapy)

Endovascular vs Open Aneurysm Repair in the Young: Systematic Review and Meta-analysis
Conclusion: There are insufficient data for definite conclusions to be drawn regarding the relative effectiveness of EVAR and OSR in young subjects. Contemporary evidence suggests that EVAR should not be discouraged in this cohort of patients based solely on the age criterion. (Source: Journal of Endovascular Therapy)

Impact of Fenestrated Endovascular Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair on Renal Function
Conclusion: fEVAR has a significant perioperative impact on renal function, but 1-year results are similar to OAR. fEVAR patients may benefit from targeted AKI prevention strategies that need to be assessed in relevant studies. (Source: Journal of Endovascular Therapy)

Common Iliac Artery Aneurysm Repair Using a Sac-Anchoring Endograft to Preserve the Internal Iliac Artery
Conclusion: Endovascular sealing using the Nellix device can be applied to exclude selected common iliac artery aneurysms with an adequate length and a minimal distal neck, with preservation of the internal iliac artery. The endobag can be positioned such that the aneurysm is completely excluded while the orifice of the side branch is not endangered. (Source: Journal of Endovascular Therapy)

Changes in Aortic Volumes Following Endovascular Sealing of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms With the Nellix Endoprosthesis
Conclusion: There are significant changes in aortic volumes post EVAS. These changes may be a direct consequence of the technique and have implications for the planning and performance of EVAS. (Source: Journal of Endovascular Therapy)

Occluded Superficial Femoral and Popliteal Artery Stents Can Have a Negative Impact on Bypass Target
Conclusion: Superficial femoral artery and popliteal artery stent occlusion can affect target vessels in patients who may require subsequent LEB. This should be considered when performing stenting. (Source: Journal of Endovascular Therapy)

Relationship Between Primary Patency and Lesion Length Following Bare Nitinol Stent Placement for Femoropopliteal Disease
Conclusion: The 1-year primary patency of femoropopliteal lesions treated with bare nitinol stents decreased linearly with longer lesion length. The maximum lesion length providing a higher patency rate than the OPG of 66% was ~25 cm. (Source: Journal of Endovascular Therapy)

Five-Year Outcome of Self-Expanding Covered Stents for Superficial Femoral Artery Occlusive Disease and an Analysis of Factors Predicting Failure
Conclusion: Five-year patency rates of self-expanding covered stents inserted for SFA occlusive disease are within an acceptable range. Covered stent diameter is the most relevant factor in predicting loss of primary patency, and thus, an adequate diameter of the distal landing site seems to be among the most important factors in the decision-making process. In smaller vessels, one should not use covered stents but venous conduits, as oversizing may be detrimental. (Source: Journal of Endovascular Therapy)

Combined Directional Atherectomy and Drug-Eluting Balloon Angioplasty for Isolated Popliteal Artery Lesions in Patients With Peripheral Artery Disease
Conclusion: In this prospective single-arm study, the combined therapy of DA and DEB angioplasty for popliteal artery lesions showed promising midterm performance. The combination of DA and DEB may, in highly selected patients, overcome the challenges presented by the mobility of the knee joint. (Source: Journal of Endovascular Therapy)
