Impact of Perioperative Complications After Endovascular Therapy in Diabetic Patients With Critical Limb Ischemia due to Isolated Infrapopliteal Lesions
Conclusion: POCs within 30 days after balloon angioplasty for infrapopliteal disease in diabetics with CLI were more likely to occur in patients with low BMI and tissue loss. POC occurrence was associated with major adverse limb events in follow-up but not with mortality or wound healing. (Source: Journal of Endovascular Therapy)

JetStream Rotational and Aspiration Atherectomy in Treating In-Stent Restenosis of the Femoropopliteal Arteries: Results of the JETSTREAM-ISR Feasibility Study
Conclusion: JetStream atherectomy using the XC device has favorable acute results in treating femoropopliteal ISR with high procedure success, no device-stent interaction, and favorably low TLR rates. A multicenter trial is needed to confirm these results. (Source: Journal of Endovascular Therapy)

Outcomes of Endovascular Therapy With the Controlled Antegrade Retrograde Subintimal Tracking (CART) or Reverse CART Technique for Long Infrainguinal Occlusions
Conclusion: Based on acceptable safety, efficacy, and follow-up results in this study, the CART/r-CART technique can salvage patients with long peripheral occlusions after failure of the conventional antegrade or retrograde approach. (Source: Journal of Endovascular Therapy)

Combined Radial-Pedal Access Strategy and Radial-Pedal Rendezvous in the Revascularization of Complex Total Occlusions of the Superficial Femoral Artery (the "No Femoral Access" Strategy)
Conclusion: In patients with long and complex SFA occlusion unsuitable for transfemoral recanalization, a radial-pedal strategy can overcome revascularization obstacles. (Source: Journal of Endovascular Therapy)

Preservation of Clinically Relevant Accessory Renal Arteries in Infrarenal AAA Patients With Adequate Proximal Landing Zones Undergoing EVAR
Conclusion: In AAA patients unfit for surgical revascularization, EVAR is associated with a significant decline in renal function. For this reason, preservation of relevant coexistent ARAs using the chimney technique should be considered as an option. (Source: Journal of Endovascular Therapy)

A Rare Complication After Endovascular Aneurysm Repair: Disconnection of the Suprarenal Stent of a Zenith Endograft
Conclusion: After publication of a few such cases with the older Zenith device, the union between the suprarenal stent and main body was reinforced in 2002 to prevent this complication. Since modification of the device, this sequela had not been described. The reappearance of this complication underscores the need for continued surveillance, considering that these late events may require a reintervention to maintain the clinical success of the procedure. Type IIIb Endoleak and Relining: A Mathematical Model of Distraction Forces
Conclusion: Relining a stent-graft with a type IIIb endoleak using bilateral Nellix devices does not increase the distraction force. However, a unilateral Nellix device or the Renu system could theoretically increase the distraction force by up to 66%, potentially risking migration and type Ia endoleak. In clinical practice, these results suggest that a relining with bilateral Nellix may have benefits over the Renu unilateral stent-graft. (Source: Journal of Endovascular Therapy)

Initial Experience in the Treatment of Extensive Iliac Artery Aneurysms With the Nellix Aneurysm Sealing System
Conclusion: Our initial experience demonstrates that Nellix grafts are feasible and safe for the treatment of extensive iliac artery aneurysms. The long-term durability of these grafts should be validated in larger patient cohorts before this promising alternative endovascular technique can gain widespread acceptance. A Microscopic and Biomarker Evaluation of Embolic Filter Debris Collected During Carotid Artery Stenting
Conclusion: Histological analysis revealed particulate embolization in all EPDs used during CAS. Symptomatic patients had a larger volume of embolic debris, mean particle size, and the biomarkers associated with inflammation, necrotic core, and diminished fibrous cap. Outcomes of 1000 Carotid Wallstent Implantations: Single-Center Experience
Conclusion: CAS is a valid method for treating carotid artery disease, with very low rates of major adverse events and neurologic complications. The Carotid Wallstent seems to have excellent results, even with complex plaque morphology, and a low incidence of restenosis at follow-up. (Source: Journal of Endovascular Therapy)
