Hemostatic Wound Dressing for Postinterventional Hemostasis in Large Femoral Artery Access Sites: An Initial Efficacy and Safety Study
Conclusion: The evaluated wound dressing seems to be safe and effective in reducing time to hemostasis in large arterial access sites. However, a randomized trial with a larger population and an active control group is necessary to confirm these preliminary data. Moreover, additional focus on shortening the time to ambulation is required in future studies. (Source: Journal of Endovascular Therapy)

Serum Cholinesterase Levels Are Associated With 2-Year Ischemic Outcomes After Angioplasty and Stenting for Peripheral Artery Disease
Conclusion: Low CHE is associated with an increased risk of long-term adverse ischemic events following SFA angioplasty with stent implantation for PAD. (Source: Journal of Endovascular Therapy)

Dextran or Saline Can Replace Contrast for Intravascular Optical Coherence Tomography in Lower Extremity Arteries
Conclusion: OCT is feasible in peripheral vessels <5 mm in diameter. Dextran or saline flush media can allow lesion characterization, avoiding iodinated contrast. Carbon dioxide is inadequate for peripheral OCT imaging. Axial imaging may aid in enhancing durability of peripheral endovascular interventions. (Source: Journal of Endovascular Therapy)

Outcomes of Endovascular Therapy for Upper Extremity Peripheral Artery Disease With Critical Hand Ischemia
Conclusion: Endovascular therapy for upper limb PAD with CHI was technically successful and alleviated symptoms in the majority of cases, but the prognosis of patients with CHI was extremely poor in real-world clinical practice. (Source: Journal of Endovascular Therapy)

Influence of Repeat Intervention on the Risk of Major Amputation After Infrapopliteal Angioplasty for Critical Limb Ischemia
Conclusion: In the patients with CLI due to infrapopliteal lesions, the need for repeat intervention increased the risk of future major amputation. However, this correlation was not applicable to nondialysis patients. (Source: Journal of Endovascular Therapy)

Twelve-Month Results From the MAJESTIC Trial of the Eluvia Paclitaxel-Eluting Stent for Treatment of Obstructive Femoropopliteal Disease
Conclusion: MAJESTIC results showed that patients whose femoropopliteal arteries were treated with the Eluvia drug-eluting stent sustained high patency and low MAE rates through 12 months. (Source: Journal of Endovascular Therapy)

Midterm Outcomes of the Nellix Endovascular Aneurysm Sealing System: A Dual-Center Experience
Conclusion: The use of the Nellix device in everyday clinical practice is safe and offers promising midterm results. The risk of secondary aortoenteric fistula requires further analysis. Longer follow-up is needed to assess the actual efficacy of the device, although the risk of migration with late endoleak seems low. (Source: Journal of Endovascular Therapy)

Endovascular Aneurysm Sealing: Early and Midterm Results From the EVAS FORWARD Global Registry
Conclusion: The EVAS FORWARD Global Registry documents the 12-month outcome of EVAS in an unselected group of patients with challenging aortic morphology. The results at present appear acceptable with regard to perioperative outcomes and complications. The type II endoleak rate is low. The place of EVAS in the armamentarium of techniques to treat AAAs will be defined by durability data in the longer term. (Source: Journal of Endovascular Therapy)
