One-Year Outcomes of Endovascular Aneurysm Repair in High-Risk Patients Using the Endurant Stent-Graft: Comparison of the ASA Classification and SVS/AAVS Medical Comorbidity Grading System for the Prediction of Mortality and Adverse Events
Conclusion: Endovascular aneurysm repair has evolved, and high technical success and low mortality and morbidity can be achieved in high-risk patients. When treating high-risk patients, the perioperative risks should always be weighed against the expected gains. In contrast to the ASA classification, the SVS/AAVS medical comorbidity grading system is a useful tool to predict occurrence of MAEs and 1-year survival in patients undergoing EVAR. A 15-Year Single-Center Experience of Endovascular Repair for Elective and Ruptured Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms
Conclusion: Within our cohort of primary EVAR patients, r-EVAR cases showed comparable stent-graft–related technical outcome. Although there was a higher incidence of type Ia endoleaks on completion angiography in the r-EVAR group, the overall secondary intervention rate was comparable to el-EVAR. Aneurysm Shrinkage Is Compatible With Massive Endoleak in the Presence of an Aortocaval Fistula: Potential Therapeutic Implications for Endoleaks and Spinal Cord Ischemia
Conclusion: EVAR can be applied in this rare setting because the ensuing high-flow endoleak is associated with sac shrinkage owing to depressurization by the caval shunt. (Source: Journal of Endovascular Therapy)

Two Cases of Aortic Intimal Intussusception During Endovascular Repair of an Acute Type B Dissection
Conclusion: Aortic intimal flap detachment and intussusception is a rare but potentially fatal complication of TEVAR for acute complicated aortic dissection. Quick diagnosis and a low threshold for conversion to open repair are critical in achieving a successful outcome. (Source: Journal of Endovascular Therapy)

Systematic Review and Patient-Level Meta-analysis of the Streamliner Multilayer Flow Modulator in the Management of Complex Thoracoabdominal Aortic Pathology
Conclusion: The SMFM can be safely utilized in some patients with complex thoracoabdominal pathologies provided operators adhere to the IFU. The SMFM is a novel technology with no long-term published data on its sustained effectiveness and a lack of comparative studies. Randomized clinical trials, registries, and continued assessment are essential before this flow-modulating technology can be widely disseminated. (Source: Journal of Endovascular Therapy)
