Psychological effects of Helicobacter pylori ‐associated atrophic gastritis in patients under 50 years: A cross‐sectional study
ConclusionsOur findings support the results of previous animal studies regarding the psychological response to gastritis in humans. Further studies are needed to elucidate whether H. pylori eradication provides psychological benefits. (Source: Helicobacter)

Cholesterol ‐α‐glucosyltransferase gene is present in most Helicobacter species including gastric non‐Helicobacter pylori helicobacters obtained from Japanese patients
ConclusionsAll gastric NHPHs examined showed presence of αCgT genes, indicating that αCgT may be beneficial for these helicobacters to infect human and possibly animal stomachs. Our study indicated that NHPHs could be classified into 2 groups, NHPHs with αCgT genes and NHPHs without αCgT genes. (Source: Helicobacter)

Rescue therapy with bismuth quadruple regimen in patients with Helicobacter pylori ‐resistant strains
ConclusionsOur data found that bismuth‐based quadruple regimen is effective as rescue therapy for curing patients infected with multiresistant H. pylori strains. (Source: Helicobacter)

GenoType ® HelicoDR test in comparison with histology and culture for Helicobacter pylori detection and identification of resistance mutations to clarithromycin and fluoroquinolones
ConclusionWe recommend a combination of PCR assay and bacterial culture for a quick method of screening and more efficient identification of H. pylori strains and resistance patterns. (Source: Helicobacter)

Prevalence, antibiotic resistance, and MLST typing of Helicobacter pylori in Algiers, Algeria
ConclusionThe prevalence of H. pylori remains high in Algeria but appears to be decreasing in recent years. High resistance to clarithromycin requires increased monitoring of the evolution of antibiotic resistance and adaptation of eradication therapy. (Source: Helicobacter)

Diagnostic accuracy of PCR ‐based detection tests for Helicobacter Pylori in stool samples: A systematic review and meta‐analysis
ConclusionsThe sensitivity and specificity of stool PCR test are relatively in the same spectrum of other diagnostic methods for the detection of H. pylori infection. In descending order of significance, the most diagnostic candidate genes using PCR detection were 23S rRNA, 16S rRNA, and glmM. PCR for 23S rRNA gene which has the highest performance could be applicable to detect H. pylori infection. (Source: Helicobacter)

Effect of biopsy site on detection of gastric cancer high ‐risk groups by OLGA and OLGIM stages
ConclusionsTo prevent underestimation of OLGA and OLGIM stages, it is necessary to include an angle biopsy, and to obtain corpus biopsy specimens from lesser and greater curvature sites rather than from anterior and posterior wall sites. (Source: Helicobacter)

Epidemiology of Helicobacter pylori infection in asymptomatic schoolchildren in Bhutan
ConclusionsH. pylori infection is prevalent among all age group children in Bhutan. The results suggest that transmission of H. pylori is related to personal care practices that directly correlate with the mothers’ education and crowded living condition with children. Our results are important to developing prevention strategies for gastric cancer in Bhutan. (Source: Helicobacter)

High primary antibiotic resistance of Helicobacter Pylori strains isolated from dyspeptic patients: A prevalence cross ‐sectional study in Spain
ConclusionsResistance rate of H. pylori to antibiotics is high in the northwest of Spain. The high resistance to levofloxacin and clarithromycin advises against their wide empirical use of these antibiotics in eradication regimens. (Source: Helicobacter)
