Association between JAK1 gene polymorphisms and susceptibility to allergic rhinitis
Conclusion: This study indicates that JAK1 rs310241 C-related genotype and allele are likely involved in AR susceptibility, making them potentially useful genetic biomarkers for AR susceptibility in the Chinese Han population. < /p > < p >   < /p > < p > < strong > < strong > DOI 10.12932/AP0630.34.2.2016 < /strong > < /strong > < /p > (Source: Asian Pacific Journal of Allergy and Immunology)

Validation Study of the Pediatric Allergic Rhinitis Quality of Life Questionnaire.
Conclusions: < /strong > The Ped-AR-QoL had very good reliability and convergent validity when compared with the generic Disabkids QoL. The significance of association between the disease-specific questionnaire and the expert opinion is an important finding validating the questionnaire. The Ped-AR-QoL may become a helpful tool which can be used in everyday clinical practice by clinicians and it may also be used for assessing therapeutic interventions in clinical trials. < /p > < p >   < /p > < p > DOI   < span > 10.12932/ < /span > < span class= " il " > AP0651 < /span > < span > .34.2. < /span > < span > 2016 < /span >...

Association of the chromosome 11p13.5 variant and atopic dermatitis with a family history of atopy in the Chinese Han population
Conclusion: < /em > The loci rs7927894 (11p13.5) are related to AD with a positive family history of atopy in Chinese Han population, providing novel insight into the genetic pathogenesis of AD. < /strong > < /p > < p > < strong > < br / > < /strong > < /p > < p > < strong > < strong > DOI 10.12932/AP0596.34.2.2016 < /strong > < /strong > < /p > (Source: Asian Pacific Journal of Allergy and Immunology)

Association between interleukin-17a gene polymorphisms and asthma risk: a meta-analysis
Conclusions: < /em > The IL-17A -737C/T polymorphism is likely to contribute to protection against asthma, while the IL-17A -197G/A polymorphism may not be associated with asthma susceptibility.   < /strong > < /p > < p > < strong > DOI 10.12932/AP0680.34.2.2016 < /strong > < /p > < p >   < /p > (Source: Asian Pacific Journal of Allergy and Immunology)

A 10-year retrospective study of neonatal lupus erythematous in China
Conclusions: < /em > Children with NLE have an excellent outcome when only skin lesions are present. Even the hepatic, hematological and neurological abnormalities are transient, with generally good outcomes. IVIG might have some effectiveness due to enhanced anti-inflammatory activity to treat early diseases that may be < /strong > < strong > reversible (e.g. prolonged PR interval). The long-term prognosis for patients with NLE is still under investigation, and some infants with NLE may progress to other autoimmune diseases later in childhood. < /strong > < /pre > < p > < strong > DOI 10.12932/AP0671.34.2.2016 < /strong ...

Biochemical and functional analysis of COS3A, a novel CD63-specific monoclonal antibody
Conclusions:The mAbCOS3A recognized the CD63 molecule and strongly diminished phagocytosis of bacteria by granulocytes, suggesting that CD63 may play a crucial role in the initial step of phagocytosis. MAb COS3A is therefore suitable for both biochemical and functional studies of CD63, and may be used for further study of the mechanism of phagocytosis and also in therapeutic approaches. DOI 10.12932/AP0735 (Source: Asian Pacific Journal of Allergy and Immunology)

Aberrant neutrophil function among heavy smokers and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients
Conclusions: Our findings suggested that the elevation of intracellular ROS generated by circulating neutrophils resulted in pools of inflammatory mediators among heavy smokers, which was suspected as one of the factors causing COPD in high risk people.Key words: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Smoking, Neutrophil, Reactive Oxygen Species, Phagocytosis, Flow CytometryDOI 10.12932/AP0724 (Source: Asian Pacific Journal of Allergy and Immunology)

A preliminary study of intranasal epinephrine administration as a potential route for anaphylaxis treatment
Conclusion: This preliminary study showed that epinephrine can be significantly absorbed via the IN route in humans. However, it requires a higher IN dose (5 mg) than the usual IM dose (0.3 mg) to achieve comparable systemic epinephrine absorption.humans.
