Cross-reactive antibodies against H7N9 and H5N1 avian influenza viruses in Thai population

Novel characterisation of mast cell phenotypes from peripheral blood mononuclear cells in chronic fatigue syndrome/myalgic encephalomyelitis patients
Conclusions: This preliminary study investigates mast cell phenotypes from PBMCs in healthy controls. We report significant increase of naïve MCs in moderate and severe CFS/ME patients compared with healthy controls. Moreover, a significant increase in CD40 ligand and MHC-II receptors on differentiated mast cells in severe CFS/ME patients. Effect of the prenatal maternal environments and diets on cord blood interleukin-4 and interferon –gamma: A pilot study
Conclusions: In this study, a strong association between IL-4 and IFN- γ levels in cord blood and the intake of folate and vitamin B6 was found, which indicates that food intake during pregnancy might have a strong influence on IL-4 and IFN-γ levels in cord blood, to a greater extent than environmental factors. The correlation of serum eosinophil cationic protein level with eosinophil count, and total IgE level in Korean adult allergic rhinitis patients
Conclusions: We suggest that ECP could be an important mediator in the pathogenesis of AR. The level of serum ECP was positively correlated with eosinophilia in AR patients regardless of the type of allergen sensitization. Fraction of exhaled nitric oxide and soluble receptors for advanced glycation end products are negatively correlated in children with recurrent wheezing

Effects of seasonal smog on asthma and COPD exacerbations requiring emergency visits in Chiang Mai, Thailand

Comparison of different histamine concentrations used as a skin prick test positive control

Comparison between specific IgE levels and skin prick test results of local and imported American cockroach, dog, cat, dust mites and mold allergen extracts
Conclusions: When the SPT results are compared between local and imported allergen extracts, all were found to have significant agreement, with very good agreement for cat allergens. Regulatory T, natural killer T and γδ T cells in multiple sclerosis and chronic fatigue syndrome/myalgic encephalomyelitis: a comparison
Conclusion: This study has not identified immunological disturbances that are common in both MS and CFS/ME patients. However differential expression of cell types between the conditions investigated suggests different pathways of disease. Identification of wheat sensitization using an in-house wheat extract in Coca-10% alcohol solution in children with wheat anaphylaxis
