Jefferson Digital Commons Quarterly Update: January – March 2013
The Jefferson Digital Commons is off to a great start for 2013. The first quarter of the year ended with 1,144 new assets added to the archive. To date the total number of assets in the JDC is up to 7,698. A link to the entire inventory is available at the bottom of this report and this report is not an April Fools’ Day joke.
Downloads went from 1,209,115 at the end of December 2012 to 1,331,432 at the end of March 2013

Scott Student Collaboration Rooms Now Open
The grand opening of the 10 small-group rooms on the second floor of Scott Memorial Library was held on Tuesday, March 19th. The rooms are now ready for use.
Reserve a small group room now
For groups of up to 6 students, the rooms are designed to support group study and collaboration. Each room is fully equipped with a computer, a large flat screen monitor, and a writing surface. Students will also be able to connect their laptops to the large screen.

Update on Scott Library Improvements
In early January renovations began on the second floor of Scott Library. The construction of 10 small-group collaboration suites along the east and west sides has been progressing and should soon be visible as the construction walls are removed at the end of February. A grand opening is planned for March 18th.
