The Latest from Haraa
In conclusion, there was absolutely no shortage of good times here in Haraa this week. Slowly slowly we’re becoming less mzungu, and Haraa is coming to feel more and more like home. We couldn’t feel more grateful for the chance to share with and learn from this community! More from Team Himiti!
The Himiti team had a busy week of teaching and prepping for our village-wide testing day. We finally got to teach in our primary school, which included students and even their teachers. We thought it was important that the teachers knew about HIV/AIDS so that they can continue to educate their students after we leave. We also had the opportunity to teach in a variety of village social groups and even some random places where large groups of people were gathered and willing to listen to us. Our first teaching was Wednesday (July 9th) afternoon at Sakila Secondary School. When we talked to the headmaster, we were told there would be between 50 and 70 students in each Form (grade), but when we showed up, many students had yet to pay their school fees and we ended up teaching classes...

Updates from Team Nduruma
Mambo! VP3 here in the lovely village of Nduruma. We are rounding up our second week in the village and have enjoyed getting to know Nduruma and its inhabitants a little more everyday. Before we delve into the nitty gritty of our lives here, a brief introduction to the Nduruma SIC team is in order.   Aaron: Aaron is from the University of Dodoma. He hates music and owns dirt-repelling white shoes. Poa! Keaton: Keaton is from the University of San Francisco. He is highly praised here in Nduruma. Everybody just loves him. Ben: Ben is from Stanford. He loves (LOVES) cats and has one dance move. Taylor: Taylor is from UCL...
