Updates from Team Nduruma

Mambo! VP3 here in the lovely village of Nduruma. We are rounding up our second week in the village and have enjoyed getting to know Nduruma and its inhabitants a little more everyday. Before we delve into the nitty gritty of our lives here, a brief introduction to the Nduruma SIC team is in order.   Aaron: Aaron is from the University of Dodoma. He hates music and owns dirt-repelling white shoes. Poa! Keaton: Keaton is from the University of San Francisco. He is highly praised here in Nduruma. Everybody just loves him. Ben: Ben is from Stanford. He loves (LOVES) cats and has one dance move. Taylor: Taylor is from UCLA. She is well traveled and coming to Tanzania was NO big deal. She is open to trying all sorts of food. Hilal: Hilal is from the University of Dodoma. He doesn’t really know Swahili and just joined SIC for the condom demos. Leonie: Leonie is from Harvard. She was ecstatic when Argentina beat the Netherlands in the World Cup. She secretly loves meat.   *descriptions may not be wholly accurate and have been found to contain trace amounts of sarcasm, except Keaton. Everybody really loves Keaton.* Back to business. Fueled by a steady diet of rice and beans, we have hit the ground running since our arrival. The first two weeks we were able to meet the village and subvillage leaders and conducted condom and household surveys throughout the village.
