4 PubMed Enhancements
NLM announced four new enhancements for Pubmed: Conflict of Interest statements, when supplied by the publisher, are available below the abstract. Editorial Expression of Concern, formerly in comments, will be explicitly labeled in the abstract display. Expressions of concern are used to raise awareness that the article may be unreliable due to a possible problem. The Council of Science Editors has a more complete definition of the phrase. DOCLINE Users: Services That May Be of Interest
MedPrint – Medical Serials Print Preservation Program is a initiative of the NNLM and NLM  to preserve print journal titles. Health sciences library across the country are encouraged to commit to holding selected titles in print format. The Electronic Funds Transer System (EFTS) is used by more than 1,300 institutions across the country. The “Let’s Move! Libraries” project is studying movement-based programs in public libraries (i.e. yoga, tai chi, Zumba, StoryWalks, music & movement, walking groups, etc.). MedlinePlus Reaches 1,000th Health Topic
A major milestone was recently reached as MedlinePlus.gov launched its 1,000th health topic page. The topic that lifted the site to that number was “Eye Care.” Since its launch in 1998, MedlinePlus has steadily added new topics to respond to the growing needs of the public for reliable, up-to-date health information. MCR Membership Renewal Drive: Coming Soon
NNLM MidContinental Region member institutions will be receiving an  invitation, the first week of March, to renew their memberships  via  a link in an email message.  Members will be asked to spend less than ten minutes to fill out an online form and submit it to confirm they are continuing as members.  It will be very important to submit the completed form as soon as possible.
