NIHSeniorHealth.gov to be retired in August 2017
On August 1, 2017, the NIHSeniorHealth.gov Web site will be retired. NIHSeniorHealth.gov, the first government Web site designed for older adults, was launched in 2003 by the National Institute on Aging (NIA) and the National Library of Medicine (NLM). The site provided evidence-based health information to millions of older adults in a format geared to their cognitive and visual needs.

Update to Immersive Workshop Funding
The MidContinental Region has updated the Immersive Workshop Funding to extend the length of time that awardees have to complete their professional development event. The project performance period is now May 1, 2017 through April 30, 2019. We will continue to accept applications until funds are expended.
The Immersive Workshop Funding opportunity seeks to support a library in developing and hosting a multi-day interprofessional training event. Each funding recipient will receive up to $14,000. The workshop must take place by April 30, 2019.
