All of Us Research Program Funding Available for Community Groups

The All of Us Research Program is a large part of the Precision Medicine Initiative (PMI) from the National Institutes of Health. The goal is to engage 1 million or more U.S. research participants in sharing health data to help researchers develop more precise treatments for many diseases and conditions. A new funding opportunity is available for community groups to assist with outreach efforts. This opportunity allows nonprofits, other community- and faith-based organizations, minority-serving institutions and school districts, and local governments to apply for funding to create community engagement activities and provide feedback to the research program about community needs and perspectives. Priority will be given to applicants with: Reach into priority geographic areas (three states in the MidContinental Region are Priority 2 areas: Kansas, Missouri, and Utah). Reach into communities historically underrepresented in biomedical research. Applications are due March 24, 2017.
