What is a Good Looking Penis? How Women Rate the Penile Appearance of Men with Surgically Corrected Hypospadias
ConclusionsOverall, women were found to consider the “position and shape of the meatus” as the least important penile aspect. These findings may stimulate reflections regarding the relevance of surgical correction of the meatus in minor forms of hypospadias. In addition, this study indicates that women perceived genitals of men with distal operated hypospadias (which represents the majority of hypospadias) to be as normal as nonaffected, circumcised genitals. A Randomized Prospective Double‐Blind Comparison Trial of Clomiphene Citrate and Anastrozole in Raising Testosterone in Hypogonadal Infertile Men
ConclusionsWe failed to demonstrate equivalence of CC vs. AZ. CC resulted in significantly higher T levels than AZ. AZ resulted in a significantly larger increase in T/E‐2 ratio than CC. No significant differences between CC and AZ on seminal parameters or patient‐reported outcomes were demonstrated. Helo S, Ellen J, Mechlin C, Feustel P, Grossman M, Ditkoff E, and McCullough A. Variation in Penile Hemodynamics by Anatomic Location of Cavernosal Artery Imaging in Penile Duplex Doppler Ultrasound
ConclusionThere is large variability in measured PSV and EDV on PDDU depending on the site of Doppler imaging, which can often sway clinical diagnosis. Future guidelines should attempt to incorporate standard locations of CA imaging, and new normative values may be necessary for each location. Pagano MJ and Stahl PJ. Risk of Damage to the Somatic Innervation of the Penis during the AdVance™ Procedure: An Anatomical Study
ConclusionsDamage to the DNP caused by the AdVance™ male sling procedure appears to be an extremely rare complication, which has not been described in current literature. The proximity of the AdVance™ to the DNP could, however, pose a risk that should be taken into consideration by physicians and patients when opting for surgery.
